Odd Arne Slettebø new CFO of “Noreco”

Norwegian Energy Company ASA has appointed Odd Arne Slettebø as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Odd Arne Slettebø replaces Tommy Sundt who has been appointed new CEO of the Company. Slettebø joined Noreco in August 2012 and was until now Group Finance Manager of Noreco. “I am very pleased to announce that Odd Arne Slettebø will be my successor as CFO. He is highly skilled and knows the Company very well, which will secure continuity in the team,” says Tommy Sundt, CEO of Noreco. Slettebø is a state authorised public accountant and holds a master degree in Accounting and Auditing from Norwegian School of Economics and Business administration (NHH), in addition to a Bachelor degree in Business administration from Bergen University College.

Kalleklev to Head DNV GL's SE Asia Oil & Gas

Energy demand in South East Asia is expected to grow at twice the rate of the rest of the world. DNV GL has appointed Arve Johan Kalleklev regional manager for Oil & Gas in South East Asia just as the company is establishing a dedicated LNG and Gas Consulting unit in Singapore. The unit will support the extensive development plans for a safe, secure and reliable gas and LNG infrastructure in Asia. It is estimated that USD 460 billion will need to be invested in South East Asia’s gas and LNG infrastructure by 2035 to meet energy demand. “This will secure robust growth in LNG supply. The Pacific Basin has some of the largest exporters of LNG, but also some of the oldest plants - many more than 20 years old,” says Mr Kalleklev.

Subsea Risk Management in Real Time

Bergen, Norway – May 20, 2014 – A newly established research center on Norway’s west coast hopes to improve subsea operation and maintenance by bringing risk management into real time. Integrated Well and Subsea Instrumentation (IWSI) is the latest development from independent technology research institute Christian Michelsen Research AS (CMR), which aims to establish an arena for subsea and well instrumentation research and development to find real time risk management solutions for reduced cost and improved safety – on the Norwegian continental shelf and internationally.
