APL Recognized as Best Intra-Asia Shipping Line

APL won the Intra-Asia Best Shipping Line accolade at the 27th Asian Freight and Supply Chain Awards (AFSCAs). Based on the highest number of votes received from readers of Cargonews Asia, the award lauds APL’s outstanding performance in schedule integrity, customer service support, as well as its comprehensive port calls in the intra-Asia trade. Hapag-Lloyd Gets Four of the 'Best'

Staff from four leading international forwarders have voted Hapag-Lloyd the best shipping line for 2012. Kühne + Nagel (“Best Carrier Award”) and DB Schenker (“Ocean Carrier of the Year”), now Hellmann Worldwide Logistics (“Global Carrier Award”) and Panalpina (“Global Ocean Freight Carrier Survey”) have awarded Hapag-Lloyd highest grades for quality and customer service. “These awards make us especially proud as they come from our customers’ staff, the people who work daily with Hapag-Lloyd worldwide: Those who can really judge and value the high quality of our services,” says Michael Behrendt, Chairman of the Executive Board of Hapag-Lloyd. More and more major shippers are having staff evaluate their most important suppliers using satisfaction questionnaires.

APL Named Best Global Ocean Carrier

International maritime experts named APL the world’s best shipping line, and honored it for outstanding innovation. The Singapore-based container carrier received the Global Ocean Carrier of the Year award as well as the Innovation IT of the Year award here at the Containerization International awards. An eight-strong judging panel selected APL from a field of finalists including Maersk Line, CMA CGM and Hyundai Merchant Marine. “We’re delighted to once more be recognized by industry peers for shipping excellence,” said APL President Kenneth Glenn. Four Honors for NOL at Asian Freight Awards

SINGAPORE, 27 APRIL 2011 – NOL Group won accolades for excellence in Shipping and Logistics and CEO Ron Widdows received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 25th Asian Freight & Supply Chain Awards here tonight. Both of NOL’s principal businesses were honored at one of the longest-running awards tributes in the Asian transportation sector. Container carrier APL was named Best Shipping Line in the Transpacific and Asia-Europe trades. APL Logistics won in the category of Best Logistics Service Provider – Sea Freight.

Rickmers-Linie Wins Best Shipping Line Again

For the second time in a row, Rickmers-Linie, the breakbulk, heavylift and project cargo specialist headquartered in Hamburg, won the category Best Shipping Line - Project Cargo in the annual Asian Freight & Supply Chain Awards (AFSCA). In a gala dinner held on 10 June 2010 at the Renaissance Shanghai Pudong Hotel, Dirk Wittkowski, Senior Representative of Rickmers-Linie in China, accepted the award from Caesar Yiu, Global Director Leasing at Thermo King in front of an audience of some 400 guests from the shipping, transport and logistics industry.

Maersk Line Wins Best Global Shipping Line

Maersk Line was named Best Global Shipping Line at the 21st Asian Freight and Supply Chain Awards (AFSCAs) ceremony held in Macau, April 26, 2007. In addition, Maersk Line was awarded 'Best Shipping Line Asia-Europe' and 'Best Shipping Line Transpacific'. Held once a year, the AFSCAs are widely recognised by the Asian logistics and shipping industry. Presented by the publication Cargonews Asia, the awardees are selected by readers, who vote for their favourite companies in the different categories.

Evergreen Named Best Intra-Asian Shipping Line

Evergreen Marine Corp has been awarded Best Shipping Line - Intra Asia for the third year in a row at the 21st Asian Freight and Supply Chain Awards (AFSCA). Wong Kwok-Leung, senior vice president, Evergreen Marine Corp collected the award from Stephen White, Director of Asia Pacific Region and Global Leasing, Thermo King at a ceremony held at the Macau Fisherman’s Wharf Convention and Exhibition Centre on 25 April. The AFSCA accolade is particularly significant because it is voted for not by a panel of judges, but by the readership of leading regional freight newspaper Cargonews Asia, which represents shippers from across Asia.
