Titan to Build World’s Largest Biomethane Liquefaction Plant

Titan has unveiled plans to build and operate a liquified biomethane plant in the Port of Amsterdam allowing supply to ships and trucks.The production project for 200,000 tonnes of LBM per year is said to be the world's largest.BioValue, one of the largest biogas suppliers in the Netherlands, has been contracted for the exclusive off-take of all on-site produced biogas, and Linde Engineering has signed on to perform the basic engineering.BioValue will supply a significant part of the biogas required for the total LBM production.

Furetank Inks Biogas Supply Deal

Swedish shipping company Furetank announced it has signed a letter of intent with Eskilstuna Biogas, enabling the development of a new biogas plant producing around 5,000 tonnes of LBG annually.Furetank commits to buying at least 75% of the produced fuel for 10 years. The gas will be extracted from manure and food waste from the municipalities of Eskilstuna and Strängnäs. It is upgraded to a 100% waste-based, fossil-free and renewable biofuel, LBG.For Furetank, the move is a big step toward its switch from liquefied natural gas (LNG) to LBG as a marine fuel…

Engie to Invest in Green Gas in France

Isabelle Kocher, Engie CEO, announced that EUR 800 million would be mobilized in the next five years to develop green gases, a new French sector of excellence that will create value and jobs in France.François de Rugy, French Minister of State, Minister of the Ecological and Solidarity Transition was present during the announcement. This plan will support the objective of at least 10% green gas injected into the networks by 2030, as enshrined in the French Energy Transition Law for Green Growth.The global energy and services group Engie is positioning itself throughout the entire value chain of the biomethane industry: from project development, in close collaboration with farmers, to the sale to end consumers.

Biogas Plant from Sweden to Denmark

Blue Water Gothenburg has handled an industrial transport project for the Swedish clean-tech company Malmberg which is a market leader in the field of biogas. The items being transported was equipment for a biogas plant in Horsens, Denmark. Four trucks and three special transports were loaded with 32 tons of stainlees steel and columns weighing 9 tons. "Our experience with project transports was very helpfull in loading and transporting the large out-of-gauge items for the plant. There is no doubt that our close dialogue with Malmberg made it possible for us to finde the best solution for the transport as we have a good understanding of what Malmberg required.

Mammoet, Shell, Boskalis, Heerema and Van Oord traveled along with a trade mission led by Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Lilianne Ploumen (PvdA).
