Subsea Monopile Corrosion Protection

Corrosion and BlueStream launched ICCP-SAM, touted as sustainable corrosion protection of XX(X)L monopile foundations. ICCP-SAM is designed to remotely install ICCP anodes on monopile foundations of all sizes, anywhere on the foundation and even in the roughest ocean conditions.The ICCP-SAM (Subsea Assembly Method) is compact and can be transported and deployed with minimal resources from the topside of the offshore foundation. It is operated remotely and maneuvers the anode underwater into the designated foundation entry hole. The anode is then secured to the foundation using the same tool.

Russia Says Ukraine Tried to Attack Russian Ship Near Major Gas Pipelines in Black Sea

Russia said on Sunday that Ukraine had made unsuccessful attempt to attack a Russian naval ship with six high-speed drone boats as the Russian vessel patrolled major natural gas pipelines in the Black Sea.The 'Priazovye' ship was carrying out what Russia's defense ministry said was "monitoring of the situation and ensuring security along the routes of the TurkStream and Blue Stream gas pipelines in the southeastern part of the Black Sea."Ukraine attacked in the early hours of Sunday about 300 km south-east of Sevastopol…

Russia: Warship Attacked by Ukrainian Drones While Guarding Black Sea Gas Pipelines

Russia's Defence Ministry said on Wednesday that the Russian warship Ivan Khurs had been attacked unsuccessfully by three Ukrainian uncrewed speedboats in the Black Sea, on the approaches to the Bosphorus strait.In a statement posted on Telegram, the ministry said the warship had been protecting the TurkStream and Blue Stream gas pipelines - which carry gas from Russia to Turkey, partly across the Black Sea - and "continues to fulfill its tasks".No comment was immediately available from Kyiv.The ministry cited the attack as a justification for Russia expanding defensive measures.

New Reefer Ship Makes Maiden Call to US

GT USA welcomed to the Canaveral Cargo Terminal (CCT) the M.V. Seatrade Red on its maiden call to the United States. The 607-foot M.V. Seatrade Red, a specialized reefer container vessel with a capacity of 2,259 TEUs and 674 reefer plugs, was built at China’s Yangfan Shipyard and officially launched in May 2016 as one of Seatrade Group’s four new Colour Class vessels. On November 20, Joe Cruise, commercial manager of GT USA; and Alberto Cabrera, senior director, Cargo Sales, Canaveral Port Authority marked the vessel call by presenting commemorative plaques to Captain S. Poryadin of the M.V.

Canaveral Resumes Container Service after Hurricane Matthew

GT USA’s Canaveral Cargo Terminal (CCT) incurred minimal damage during Hurricane Matthew and is fully operational, the result of advance storm preparation and facility planning by GT USA in partnership with Canaveral Port Authority. The Canaveral Cargo Terminal resumed full operations, which included working the container cargo vessel M/V MAX WONDER for StreamLines, N.V.’s Blue Stream service. GT USA Adds Warehouse At Port Canaveral

GT USA, operators of Canaveral Cargo Terminal, has expanded its supply chain capabilities to serve shipping lines, along with domestic customers, with the addition of more than 40,000 square feet of covered storage now available at the Marlin Street Warehouse at Port Canaveral. The facility serves as a secure location for general warehousing, providing a full range of logistics services, including trucking, cross docking, storage and inventory control and last mile distribution.

Container Service to Connect Port Canaveral

GT USA, the US arm of UAE-based global ports and logistics company Gulftainer, announced the new ‘Blue Stream Service’, a weekly container cargo service connecting Port Canaveral to Europe, the French West Indies, and Central America. Blue Stream Service, operated by StreamLines, part of the SeaTrade Group, will provide refrigerated and dry container service to and from GT USA’s Canaveral Cargo Terminal, with a focus on fresh produce and perishable cargo. The Blue Stream Service will feature five ships with 1,300 TEU capacity and 250 reefer plugs on a weekly rotation. The new line will serve Central America to Port Canaveral in just three days and will offer the fastest transit time between Florida and Europe, just 11 days.

New Container Terminal Opens at Port Canaveral

The Canaveral Port Authority welcomes the start of StreamLine’s Blue Stream weekly liner service at its new Canaveral Cargo Terminal, which GT USA manages and operates. The service adds Port Canaveral to this valued trade route that includes Central America, Europe and the Caribbean. The first call at Canaveral is scheduled for January 31, 2016 with the arrival of the M/V Norderoog. StreamLines N.V. part of the Seatrade Group, is a container line providing refrigerated and dry container service specializing in fresh produce and perishables.

FUGRO Wins Blue Stream Pipeline Inspection Contract

Fugro has been awarded a contract by Blue Stream Pipeline Company B.V. for the provision of survey support vessels and associated survey services to perform the 2015 external pipeline inspection for the offshore, shore approach, and dry section components of the Blue Stream Pipeline System. The two 24” gas export pipelines, E1 and W2, run from the Beregovaya gas compression station in Russia’s Arkhipo-Osipovka, 235 miles (378km) across the Black Sea, with a maximum water depth of approximately 2,150m, to the Durusu inlet terminal 40 miles (64km) from Samsun  in Turkey. The in-field work in both areas has been completed and the reporting stage is now underway.

Gazprom to Partner Turkey to Supply Gas

Moscow hosted today a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Taner Yildiz, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkey. The meeting addressed the issues of strategic partnership, in particular, the prospects for cooperation deepening in natural gas supplies from Russia to Turkey. The parties noted that Turkey was among top consumers of Russian 'blue fuel' for many years and Russia, in its turn, was a reliable provider of natural gas for the Turkish economy, thus covering nearly 60 per cent of the country's total consumption. The Blue Stream gas pipeline is important for ensuring stable gas supplies to Turkey.

First Line of Baltic Sea Pipe to be Laid by Saipem

Contracts worth around EUR 2-billion for construction of the first of the four offshore lines of the trans-Baltic South Stream gas pipeline have now been signed by South Stream Transport and Saipem, inform Gazprom. Saipem is to build the first offshore line of the South Stream gas pipeline as well as erect process facilities in the shore crossing areas, and construct the landfalls. Pipes will be welded together on board a special pipe-laying vessel and then laid in position on the seabed at a depth of up to 2,200 meters.

Latest GEOSHIPS Vessel Secures Multimillion Pounds Worth of Contracts

GEOSHIPS Group has announced two contract wins worth a combined value of £3 million for the company’s latest vessel. Following an open day on-board the Loch Roag for potential clients, the vessel secured work in the North Sea with two new customers for GEOSHIPS. The forecasted revenue for the DP2 (dynamically positioned) multi purpose support vessel for the next 12 months is valued at nearly £10 million. The Westhill-based company, which was formed in 2003, took delivery of the Loch Roag in April on a contract valued at over £30 million. It resulted in the employment of 40 new offshore staff.

VOS Shine was christened by Mrs Gwen Klaphake, wife of Mr Rolf de Vries, Managing Director, Blue Stream Offshore B.V.. the first charterer of the vessel. The new vessel is a DP-2 Subsea Support Vessel, built at Fujian Southeast Shipyard, Fuzhou in China.

Massive Platform Travels Through Bosphorus

Istanbul's Bosphorus straits were closed to shipping for several hours on Monday to allow a massive pipeline laying platform owned by Saipem to pass through into the Black Sea, shipping officials said. The Saipem 7000 entered the straits at around 9:45 am (0645 GMT) on its way to lay an undersea gas pipeline in the Black Sea as part of the Blue Stream pipeline that will carry Russian gas to Turkey. Officials expect the platform to exit the Straits early Monday evening. The Blue Stream project is a partnership between Turkey's Botas, Eni of Italy and Gazprom of Russia. - (Reuters)
