Bo Nylandsted Larsen Joins VIKAND as VP

Maritime medical operations and public health provider VIKAND Solutions said it has appointed Bo Nylandsted Larsen as Vice President of Commercial Partnerships, effective September 1, 2021.Peter Hult, VIKAND CEO, said, “Bo Larsen is so very highly regarded in the maritime industry. Larsen Named Director at CLIA

Bo Larsen will serve as Director of Port Engagement and Business Development

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) announced the establishment of a Global Ports Committee as well as new regional committees in the Americas, Australasia and Asia in addition to the regional committee already operating in Europe. CLIA is now focusing more on engaging directly with port communities around the world both on operational and strategic issues. Port partners will now have increased opportunities to engage with CLIA member lines through this newly established Committee structure.

Maersk Ships Save US$ 90-million on Energy Using KPI

In three years Maersk Line says it has saved almost USD 90 million in energy costs by measuring the performance of individual vessels, thus raising awareness on consumption. Other business units are to follow suit. Maersk KPIs, Key Performance Indicators, have for years been a way of measuring how well one did in the past year.
