Bollinger Relocates R&D Department and High Speed Vessel Group

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc., Lockport, La., will relocate its research and development engineering office from Slidell, La., and shift the Bollinger high-speed vessels group from Lockport, to the James Business Park in St. Rose, La., in October 2004. Mike Ellis, Bollinger executive vice-president and chief operating officer said, "This new location in St. Rose will not only help us better serve our current shipyards from a design and engineering standpoint, but it will also help us attract potential employees to fill our future growth plans. The Slidell research and development office, Bollinger Northshore Engineering, about 45 miles east of the new facility, opened about five years ago. It creates and develops innovative design solutions for commercial and government clients.

Bollinger Announces Promotions

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc., announced the following promotions and assignments of its management team in order to meet the demands of increased business, expanded services and new technologies according to the Lockport, La. headquartered shipbuilding and repair company. Craig Roussel has been named Vice President of Corporate Operations for the company. His responsibilities will include State government relations, business incentives, and management of our ISO/Quality System, Environmental Services and Corporate Communications. Darren Savoye has been promoted to the position of Vice President of Business Development for Bollinger Shipyards. He will be instrumental in continuing to develop relationships and future programs within the Department of Defense and other US Governmental agencies.

Bollinger Promoted

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc., has named Chris Bollinger as Executive Vice President of New Construction Division, according to Donald “Boysie” Bollinger, Chairman and CEO of the Lockport, La. headquartered shipbuilding and repair company. Bollinger has been employed at Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. since 1993 and has held numerous managerial and leadership positions. He will continue his role on Bollinger Shipyard’s Board of Directors as well as serving as President of Bollinger/Incat USA (B/I), Bollinger High Speed Vessels (BHSV) and Chand, which are divisions of Bollinger Shipyards, Inc.
