ADNOC Eyes June Listing of Marine & Logistics Unit

State oil giant Abu Dhabi National Oil Co (ADNOC) plans to float its marine and logistics subsidiary in the coming months, two sources said, the second initial public offering of one of its businesses this year.ADNOC, which raised $2.5 billion from listing its gas business in March, is gearing up for a June listing of ADNOC Logistics & Services (ADNOC L&S), said the sources, declining to be named as the matter is not public.HSBC was appointed as joint global coordinator on the syndicate this week…

ADNOC to Run Ruwais Container Terminal

ADNOC Logistics and Services, the shipping and services arm of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), has signed a contract with Borouge, a leading provider of value creating plastics solutions, to handle its Ruwais container terminal operations. The five-year contract, awarded through a competitive bidding process, is the first deal signed between Borouge and ADNOC Logistics and Services as a new integrated entity, following the integration of IRSHAD, ESNAAD and ADNATCO into a single ADNOC operating company. Under the terms of the contract, ADNOC Logistics and Services will carry out all handling operations of Borouge’s packed and palletized products and bulk loaded containers.

Borouge, Maersk Agree to Reduce CO2 Emissions

Abu Dhabi-based petrochemical company Borouge signed an agreement with Maersk Line to reduce carbon dioxide emissions for their shipments. Besides being the first plastics producer in the Middle East to sign the Carbon Pact with Maersk Line, this agreement also enables Borouge to deliver its products globally to customers and markets with the lowest possible environmental footprint. “We are pleased to sign this Carbon Pact with Maersk Line, the world´s leading container shipping company to further enhance our collaboration in reducing the carbon footprint while transporting our products to customers’ destinations across the globe,” says Ahmed Al Shamsi, Senior Vice President – Supply Chain Management.

New Dry Bulk Facility at Khalifa Port

Abu Dhabi Ports celebrated the groundbreaking of Schmidt ME Logistics’ new facility in Khalifa Port’s industrial, trade and logistics zone, Kizad. The ceremony officiated by Dr. Wolfgang Hoppmann, CEO of Schmidt ME Logistics along with senior representatives from both companies took place on May 27, 2015. Schmidt ME Logistics specializes in the packaging, product handling and intermodal transportation of dry bulk products in addition to providing services to include patent technologies exclusive to Schmidt Logistics.

ADT Signs Borouge Packaging Service Deal

Manager and operator of Khalifa Port Container Terminal, Abu Dhabi Terminals (ADT), says it has signed a contract with Borouge, a leading provider of plastics materials, to design, construct and operate a state-of-the-art packaging facility for Borouge’s export products at Khalifa Port. The contract was signed by Abdulaziz Alhajri, CEO of Abu Dhabi Polymers Company (Borouge), and Martijn Van De Linde, CEO of ADT, during a ceremony that took place at Borouge’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The signing ceremony was attended by Wim Roels, CEO of Borouge’s Marketing & Sales Company, and senior management officials from Borouge and ADT. Khalifa Port explains that it is the primary UAE gateway for Borouge’s products to their customers around the world.
