Bulgarian Naval Academy Acquires VSTEP Simulators

On the 6th of August 2016, the official opening ceremony for The Centre for Integrated Management and Monitoring of the Coastal Zone was inaugurated by Mr. Boyko Borisov, the Prime Minister of Bulgaria. At the opening ceremony were present the Rector of the Academy, Commodore Prof. DSc Boyan Mednikarov and Deputy Chief of Educational and Scientific Activities, Captain Prof. Dr Kalin Kalinov. Among the official guests were parliament members from the Bulgarian government, representatives of other Bulgarian authorities, members of the military, ambassadors and representatives of the maritime industry. Cadets of "Nikola Vaptsarov" Plant a Tree

In the courtyard of the Naval Academy "N. Vaptsarov" cadets from Vietnam to "Class 201 5" of the school in "Navigation for the Navy," planted a tree today as tradition dictates. Ten young people from Vietnam successfully completed five years of their training and will receive their diplomas in June this year. All will return to their homeland to serve in their fleet. Present at the ceremony of planting a juniper tree near the monument N.Vaptzarov were graduates from Asian countries. The invitees included some of the leadering personalities of the Naval Academy "N. Vaptsarov "and their teachers including Assoc. Prof. PhD Kiril Kolev, captain I rank Assen Kozhuharov, III rank Captain Peter Klimov, Captain Mezev and others. In his address prof.V.N.

Bulgarian Naval Academy Installs VSTEP Simulators

The Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy in Varna purchased a 360° Class A Full Mission Bridge simulator and an Incident Management Simulator for training of its Naval and Merchant marine students. Transas Marine Upgrades Training Complex

Transas Marine has upgraded training complex at the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy (Varna, Bulgaria), including full mission bridge simulator upgrade to the latest Transas NTPRO 5000 software and new version of the GMDSS simulator TGS 5000. The Transas – Naval Academy partnership started in 2002 when Transas Marine supplied its Navigational, later Engine Room and GMDSS simulators to the Academy. In July 2012, Transas Marine has signed a contract with the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy for the extension and upgrade of the Transas Navigational and GMDSS simulators, and a long-term update/upgrade, service, support and maintenance program for the next 3 years.
