Safe Concordia Flotel Stays with BP in Trinidad

BP Trinidad and Tobago has chartered the Safe Concordia offshore accommodation rig from Prosafe, to provide gangway-connected operations at Cassia C offshore platform in Trinidad. The contract will last around 160 days and will be a straight continuation of Safe Concordia's current engagement at Cassia C. The new contract will run from March 24, 2022, to August 31, 2022. Offshore installation company Heerema Marine Contractors has completed the installation of BP's Cassia Compression (Cassia C) platform in Trinidad and Tobago.Heerema brought the Cassia Compression structures on July 15 from the Altamira fabrication yard.Using its semi-submersible heavy lift construction ship Thialf, Heerema finalized completion activities for the installation of the topside, bridge, and flare structures. Caribbean Maritime Sector Going Green

BP Hires Vroon for Trinidad and Tobago

BP Trinidad and Tobago LLC has awarded Vroon Offshore Services Aberdeen a multiple year, multi-million pound contract.Vroon said on Monday that BP had hired three emergency rescue and response vessels (ERRVs) from its subsidiary, Vroon Offshore Services Aberdeen.The North Sea’s largest operator of ERRVs said that it will provide three specialist vessels to support BP’s operations in the Caribbean: the VOS Gorgeous, the VOS Fabulous and the VOS Grace.Dedicated to supporting offshore operations 24/7 365 days a year, ERRVs are fully equipped to recover and rescue people from the water, provide a place of safety and medical aid. Technip Wins EPIC Contract for Juniper field offshore Trinidad

Technip has been awarded a substantial (1) EPIC (2) lump sum contract by BP Trinidad and Tobago LLC for the development of the Juniper project, to be located off the South East coast of Trinidad. - 6,100 short ton jacket. - large number of subsea structures and tie-in spools. Additionally, it includes the transport and installation of client supplied umbilicals, trees and flying leads. Technip's operating center in Houston, Texas, USA, will perform the overall design, detailed engineering and project management. Offshore installation is scheduled for the second half of 2016. National content is of strategic importance to Technip. Platform fabrication will be performed in Trinidad using a local fabricator.

Keppel AmFELS Delivers Second Rowan Rig

Keppel AmFELS L.L.C., the U.S. wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M), is on track to deliver the second of four EXL rigs to Rowan Drilling Companies, Inc. (Rowan) on time, within budget and with zero lost-time incidents. The rig, christened Rowan EXL-II last Friday, is scheduled for delivery on 31 August and will depart the Keppel AmFELS yard within the next month. It is expected to be deployed to Trinidad for three years under contract with BP Trinidad and Tobago. Construction for the Rowan EXL-II began in April 2008. Built as an enhancement of the LeTourneau Super 116E design with leg lengths of 511ft.

Woods Hole Group Awarded BPTT Contract

Woods Hole Group, Inc. of Falmouth, Massachusetts has been contracted by BP Trinidad and Tobago, LLC (bpTT) to design, build and install a meteorological and oceanographic measurement system on the bpTT Cassia oil and gas production complex, offshore eastern Trinidad. Woods Hole Group, Inc. will provide system design, integration, installation, and real time data display along with monthly data monitoring and archiving during the 24-month project. Measurement of the predominant and spurious currents and waves along with their impact in this environment is important for the continued safe and efficient operation of bpTT’s production platforms off the east coast of Trinidad.

Chiles Offshore has executed a three-year contract with BP Trinidad and Tobago LLC for the use of the ultra-premium jackup drilling rig the Chiles Coronado, formerly known as Tonala. The Chiles Coronado is currently undergoing limited modifications and upgrades before leaving the Gulf of Mexico for Trinidad. The rig is currently expected to arrive in Trinidad during the month of September. During the contract period, contract revenues are estimated to approximate $80 million, exclusive of mobilization and de-mobilization fees.
