ChartCo is expanding its OneOcean digital solution with its new ’Fixed Price Pay As You Sail’ (PAYS) system.The brand-new product will be launched on July 1, 2019ChartCo is expanding its OneOcean digital solution with its new ’Fixed Price Pay As You Sail’ (PAYS) system which is the first such system to allow budgetary certainty and global ENC data for planning and navigation purposes.Vessels using PAYS will be tracked and only charged for ENC permits according to the routes they actually sail.

The bunkering of the Ternsund was initiated today in Rotterdam, marking the first seagoing vessel to bunker liquefied natural gas (LNG) at the port. As a result the brand new product tanker of the Swedish shipping company Terntank also receives the first Rotterdam 'LNG bunkering incentive’; a premium amounting to a discount of 10 percent on the seaport dues. Wärtsilä Offers Two New Auxiliary Engines

Wärtsilä is expanding its engine portfolio with the introduction of two additional auxiliary engines, the Wärtsilä Auxpac 16 and the Wärtsilä Auxpac 32. Both the Auxpac 16 and the Auxpac 32 are pre-engineered gensets with a turbocharged four-stroke engine having direct fuel injection and charge air cooling and provide the electrical power onboard all types and sizes of ships. They are based upon Wärtsilä's four-stroke engine technology, which has been proven with more than 1,000 Auxpac 20 and 26 engines in operation having in excess of 6 million accumulated running hours experience.

AVEVA releases AVEVA Design Reuse

AVEVA Design Reuse

Quickly and intelligently copy ship design data between projects for reuse on similar designs to reduce costs. AVEVA, a provider of engineering design and information management solutions for the plant, power and marine industries, has announced the release of AVEVA Design Reuse 12.1, a brand new product within the AVEVA Marine portfolio. AVEVA Design Reuse allows the quick and intelligent copying of ship design data to be reused on a similar ship, reducing cost and risks by allowing the standard design policy to be used on a new design.

Becker Marine Systems at the Kormarine 2009

Becker Marine Systems will present its product portfolio at the Kormarine 2009 from October 21 to 24. This is the leading Korean exhibition for the global shipbuilding market. At the Becker booth visitors will experience a presentation of the company’s wide product range comprising of the Twisted Rudders TLKSR and TLFKSR, the Schilling KSR Rudder and the Mewis Duct. The latter has been recently introduced at the SMM 2008. Since the launch of the fuel-saving Mewis Duct Becker has signed the first orders. The brand-new product will be installed on three existing vessels as retrofit. Becker expects to improve the propulsion by at least 5% and 7.5% respectively.
