Diana Inks LOI to Order Methanol Dual-fuel Bulkers

Dry bulk shipowner Diana Shipping announced it has signed a letter of intent (LOI) to order through Marubeni Corporation or its guaranteed nominee, an unaffiliated third party, two 81,200 dwt methanol dual fuel new-building Kamsarmax dry bulk vessels, for a purchase price of $46 million each, built at Tsuneishi Group (Zhoushan) Shipbuilding Inc., China.The vessels are expected to be delivered by the second half of 2027 and the first half of 2028 respectively. Euroseas Takes Delivery of Newbuilding Ultramax

Euroseas Ltd, an owner and operator of drybulk and container carrier vessels and provider of seaborne transportation for drybulk and containerized cargoes, announced today that it took delivery of the previously announced acquisition of the newbuilding. The newbuilding Hull DY 160, to be renamed Alexandros P, is a 63,500 dwt Ultramax dry bulk carrier built in January 2017. Euroseas Sells Bulker, Adds Boxship

Euroseas Ltd., Greek owner and operator of drybulk and container carrier vessels and provider of seaborne transportation for drybulk and containerized cargoes, announced that it took delivery of the M/V RT Dagr, a 1,645 teu feeder containership built in 1998. As previously announced, the vessel was purchased by issuing 900,000 shares of the Company's common stock. The Company also announced that it agreed to sell for scrap the M/V Eleni P, a 72,119 dwt 1997-built drybulk carrier. Diana Shipping Delays Newcastlemax Delivery

Diana Shipping Inc. (NYSE: DSX), (the “Company”), a global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels, today announced that, through two separate wholly-owned subsidiaries, it signed two addenda with China Shipbuilding Trading Company, Limited and Jiangnan Shipyard (Group) Co., Ltd., to extend the delivery dates of the two Newcastlemax dry bulk carriers, Hull No. H2548 and Hull No. H2549. The delivery date of the Hull No. H2548  has been extended from September 29, 2016 to not earlier than December 26, 2016 and not later than December 30, 2016 while the delivery date of the Hull No. H2549 has been extended from November 30, 2016 to not earlier than March 13, 2017 and not later than March 20, 2017.

Diana Enters Time Charter Contract With Glencore

Greek dry bulk ship owner Diana Shipping announced it entered into a time charter contract with Glencore Grain B.V., Rotterdam for one of its Panamax dry bulk vessels. The vessel in question is the 77,901 dwt MV Ismene, which was hired at a gross charter rate of $ 5,850 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties. The charter commenced on August 7. The 2013-built  Panamax dry bulk vessel was chartered for a period of about ten to thirteen months. The employment is anticipated to generate approximately $1.67mln of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter. Diana Shipping Inc.’s fleet currently consists of 46 dry bulk vessels (2 Newcastlemax, 14 Capesize, 3 Post-Panamax, 4 Kamsarmax and 23 Panamax).

G E Adds a Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier Jag Ajay

The Great Eastern Shipping Company took delivery of a new building Kamsarmax dry bulk carrier Jag Ajay. Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange regarding a Press Release dated June 30, 2016 titled: G E Shipping takes delivery of a new building Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier "Jag Ajay". The vessel was ordered by GE Shipping in December 2013 and has been built at Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., P.R. China. With the inclusion of this vessel, the company's current fleet stands at 33 vessels, comprising 23 tankers (7 crude carriers, 14 product tankers, 2 LPG carrier) and 10 dry bulk carriers (5 Kamsarmax, 5 Supramax) with an average age of 9.97 years aggregating 2.48 mn dwt.

Diana Shipping Contract for M/V Oceanis With Nidera

Diana Shipping Inc. has announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it entered into a time charter contract with Nidera S.P.A., Roma, for one of its Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Oceanis. The gross charter rate is US$5,200 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum nine (9) months to maximum eleven (11) months. The charter is expected to commence immediatey. The “Oceanis” is a 75,211 dwt Panamax dry bulk vessel built in 2001. This employment is anticipated to generate approximately US$1.4 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter. Diana Shipping Inc.’s fleet currently consists of 46 dry bulk vessels (2 Newcastlemax, 14 Capesize, 3 Post-Panamax, 4 Kamsarmax and 23 Panamax).

Diana Shipping Enters Contract with SwissMarine

Diana Shipping Inc., through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, has entered into a time charter contract with SwissMarine Services S.A., Geneva, for one of its Ice Class Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Crystalia. The gross charter rate is US$6,250 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum eleven (11) months to maximum fourteen (14) months. The charter is expected to commence tomorrow. The “Crystalia” is a 77,525 dwt Ice Class Panamax dry bulk vessel built in 2014. This employment is anticipated to generate approximately US$2.06 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter. Diana Shipping Inc.’s fleet currently consists of 46 dry bulk vessels (2 Newcastlemax, 14 Capesize, 3 Post-Panamax, 4 Kamsarmax and 23 Panamax).

Diana Shipping Contract for Thetis

Diana Shipping Inc. through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, has entered into a time charter contract with Transgrain Shipping B.V., Rotterdam, for one of its Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Thetis. The gross charter rate is US$5,150 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum ten months to about thirteen months. The charter is expected to commence on June 16, 2016. The “Thetis” is a 73,583 dwt Panamax dry bulk vessel built in 2004. This employment is anticipated to generate approximately US$1.55 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter, says a press note from the global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels.

G E Shipping Reworks Newbuildings Kamsarmax Exposure

The Great Eastern Shipping Company has entered into an agreement to cancel the new building Kamsarmax which was scheduled for delivery in FY 18 (contract signed in FY 14). Simultaneously, the Company has contracted for purchase of two newbuilding resale Kamsarmaxes being built at the same shipyard, due to be delivered in Q2 FY 17. Diana Fixes Bulker with Quadra

Diana Shipping Inc. today announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it entered into a time charter contract with Quadra Commodities S.A., Geneva, for one of its Kamsarmax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Medusa. The gross charter rate is US$6,300 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of up to minimum March 15, 2017 to maximum July 30, 2017. The charter commenced yesterday. Diana Acquires Panamax Bulker

Diana Shipping Inc. today announced that through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has taken delivery of the m/v Selina (formerly “Sunshine”), a 2010 built Panamax dry bulk vessel of 75,700 dwt that the Company entered into an agreement to purchase in February 2016. Diana Shipping Charters out Coronis

Diana Shipping Inc. (NYSE: DSX), (the “Company”), a global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels, today announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it entered into a time charter contract with Narina Maritime Ltd, fully guaranteed by Cerrahgil Denizcilik Nakliyat ve Tic. A.S., for one of its Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Coronis. Diana Shipping Announces Time Charter Contract for Protefs with Transgrain

Diana Shipping has  chartered the 73,630 dwt, 2004-built panamax, Protefs to Transgrain shipping for 12 – 16 months at a rate of $4,500 per day minus 5% commission. This employment is anticipated to generate approximately US$1.55 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter. Diana Shipping Inc.’s fleet currently consists of 43 dry bulk vessels (2 Newcastlemax, 14 Capesize, 3 Post-Panamax, 4 Kamsarmax and 20 Panamax). Diana Shipping also expects to take delivery of three Panamax dry bulk vessels by the end of March 2016, one new-building Newcastlemax dry bulk vessel during the third quarter of 2016, as well as one new-building Newcastlemax dry bulk vessel and one new-building Kamsarmax dry bulk vessel during the fourth quarter of 2016.

Diana Shipping Signs US$75.7 mln Term Loan Facility

Diana Shipping Inc. announced that yesterday it signed, through three separate wholly-owned subsidiaries, a term loan facility for up to US$75,734,900 with The Export-Import Bank of China. Diana Shipping Acquires Capesize Bulker

Diana Shipping Inc., a global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels, has announced that yesterday it signed, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, a Memorandum of Agreement to acquire from an unaffiliated third party the m/v Churchill Bulker, a 2011 built Capesize dry bulk vessel of 179,362 dwt, for a purchase price of $28.5 million. The vessel, to be renamed Seattle, is expected to be delivered to the buyer by mid-November 2015. Diana Shipping Nets $ 17.4 mln 3Q Loss

Diana Shipping Inc. today reported a net loss of $17.4 million and net loss attributed to common stockholders of $18.8 million for the third quarter of 2015, compared to net income of $7.7 million and net income attributed to common stockholders of $6.3 million reported in the third quarter of 2014. Time charter revenues were $38.9 million for the third quarter of 2015, compared to $45.1 million for the same quarter of 2014. The decrease in time charter revenues was mainly due to decreased time charter rates in the quarter and was partly offset by revenues derived from the increase in ownership days resulting from the enlargement of our fleet.

Diana Shipping Inc. today announced that through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with SwissMarine Services S.A., Geneva, for one of its Newcastlemax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Los Angeles. The gross charter rate is US$7,750 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of about twelve (12) months to about fifteen (15) months. The charter commenced today.
