Texas-based midstreamer Howard Energy Partners (Hep) announced that it’s completed the expansions of its bulk liquid terminal facilities in Port Arthur and Corpus Christi, Texas.The completion of these projects increases HEP’s Gulf Coast terminal storage capacity to 2.6 million barrels with three ship docks, three barge docks, unit train loading capacity for up to two trains per day, and direct pipeline connectivity through wholly-owned pipelines to seven refineries. Stolt-Nielsen Limited (Oslo Bors: SNI) announced its intention to relocate its tankers' staff in Norwalk, Connecticut to Houston, Texas. The move will consolidate the Company's U.S.-based staff in Houston, which is the port most frequently called by the global Stolt Tankers fleet. Stolt Tank Containers' U.S.-based personnel and the Company's largest wholly owned bulk liquid terminal are already located in Houston. Approximately 60 employees will be affected by the move, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2015, at which time the Norwalk office will be closed. Costs of the relocation will be borne between now and the completion of the relocation. "While office relocations are always difficult, the move is hard to argue against," said Niels G. Stolt-Nielsen, CEO of SNL.

Odfjell Terminals Europe and Grand Port Maritime du Havre (GPMH) have today signed a Site Reservation Protocol for a plot of land in the Port of Le Havre to develop a bulk liquid terminal. The planned terminal will be located inside the Port of Le Havre along the Grand Canal Maritime and the plot is approximately 31.5 hectares. The first phase will consist of at least 150,000 cbm for storage of petrochemical and petroleum-related products. Construction is currently expected to start in 2015 and the terminal is foreseen to open in 2nd half 2017. The total investment for the first phase is estimated to be about €150-200 million.
