Unifeeder Taps ZeroNorth for Optimization Services
Technology company ZeroNorth on Tuesday announced it has signed a three-year deal with Unifeeder A/S to implement its suite of voyage optimization services 90 of Unifeeder’s container and shortsea vessels will adopt ZeroNorth’s platform, as well as ClearLynx’s bunker solution, as part of the company’s ambitious decarbonization efforts and green agenda strategy. Viking Grace Marks 1,000 LNG Bunkering Milestone
From the very beginning, the M/S Viking Grace – delivered in January 2013 – was an environmental milestone. The vessel attracted global attention as an environmental pioneer by being the first large passenger vessel to run on liquefied natural gas (LNG). Now, three and a half years later, one thousand bunkerings (fuellings) have been performed in partnership with the Swedish company AGA Gas AB. One thousand bunkerings via the M/S Seagas: The M/S Seagas, which was specially built for ship-to-ship refuelling, has performed its 1,000th LNG bunkering of the Viking Grace since that vessel was placed in service in January 2013. The Seagas supplies the Viking Grace with about 60 tonnes of LNG while the vessel is docked in the morning at Stadsgården in central Stockholm.
OW Bunker Strengthens Presence in Taiwan
OW Bunker, a supplier and trader of marine fuel, announced on July 3, 2012 that it has opened a new representative office in Taiwan. OW Bunker's new office in Taipei will be managed by Mr. Victor Huang, who has over 16 years of experience across the shipping industry. He joins the group from his previous position with NYK Taiwan. Mr Huang, who holds degrees in both Maritime Transportation and Maritime Law, has been appointed as Liaison Officer and will work in coordination with OW Bunker's existing team based at the Group's regional sales centre in Singapore.
