NKT Opens Submarine Cables Center in Rotterdam
NKT Cables established its submarine cable Logistics Center at Rotterdam’s deepwater port in the Netherlands. The center with its present 9,000- and 4,600-metric-ton turntable capacity has been implemented within the NKT Cables production flow, in order to provide a substantial logistics capacity. With its unique cable splicing technology, NKT Cables can connect long single cable lengths together to form extra-long continuous submarine cables, enabling load-outs of up to 6,000 metric tons - and even more - in one campaign to any cable laying vessel, adapting optimally to each specific project.
