IRI Opens New Offices in Vancouver and Qingdao

Expanding to strengthen support in Asia, International Registries, Inc. and its affiliates (IRI) opened offices in Vancouver, British Columbia and Qingdao, China today. This is the first Canadian office of IRI and the 11th office in Asia. The opening of the Vancouver office expands on the historical and powerful link between Vancouver and China, while Qingdao opens to facilitate inspections and client services in Northern China. Both offices will serve Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) corporate and maritime clients. Rivertrace Appoints Bestobell-Aquatronix as a Canadian Distributor

Rivertrace has announced the recent appointment of Bestobell-Aquatronix as a Canadian based agent and distributor, bringing the number of agents and distributors added this year alone to six, in locations including Canada, the U.S., Philippines, France and Malaysia. Bestobell AquaTronix was established in Canada in 1953 as the Canadian office of Bestobell Mobrey, a U.K. based manufacturer of instrumentation products primarily for the Petro-chemical, power and shipbuilding industries. The company expanded into water/waste, mineral processing and general process, becoming an innovator and leader in the industry. Vancouver Shipyards Begins Building New Cable Ferry

Seaspan’s Vancouver Shipyards (VSY) announced today it has officially started construction on a new Cable Ferry for BC Ferries. The 78.5 meter ferry, slated for delivery in Spring 2015, will accommodate up to 50 vehicles and 150 passengers, while servicing the Buckley Bay to Denman Island route.
