Arctic Standards Development Moves Ahead

Improving and updating Arctic design standards for material, equipment, and offshore structures for the petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries. CADC Publish Diver Delta P Guidelines

This guideline by the Canadian Association of Diving Contractors (CADC) provides a basic understanding of the forces and hazards associated with Delta P. The Canadian Association of Diving Contractors (CADC) recently published definitive guidance for divers working in differential pressure (Delta P) environments. Statistics from several occupational health and safety sources indicate that a high number of commercial diving accidents are linked to a lack of proper understanding of the hazards posed by differential pressures (Delta P) in various underwater work environments. Differential pressure, known as "Delta P," can present unique and deadly hazards to divers. Differential pressures are created when two bodies of water intersect, each with a different water level, such as at a dam.

Aura Systems Completes UL Safety Certification for Mobile Power System

Aura Systems, Inc. today announced that the AuraGen Electronics Control Unit (ECU) has received approval for UL (Underwriters Laboratories) and CSA (Canadian Standards Association) Listing under the UL 458 standard. UL 458 is the U.S. standard for Power Converters/Inverter Systems for Land Vehicles and Marine Crafts. The UL Listing of the AuraGen ECU is the final step in achieving UL safety compliance for the complete AuraGen Mobile Power System. "This is an important milestone for Aura Systems," said Neal Meehan, Aura Chairman and CEO.
