Diana Shipping announced the cancellation of the time charter contract with Al Ghurair Resources International, Dubai, for one of its Post-Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Polymnia, as announced on October 10, 2019.According to the global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels, charterers have exercised their right to cancel the time charter contract since the vessel was not delivered, due to unforeseen events, unrelated to the condition of the vessel, during the pre-agreed period.The m/v Polymnia is currently chartered, as previously announced, to Cargill International S.A., Geneva, at a gross charter rate of US$16,000 per day, minus a 4.75% commission paid to third parties.

Navios Taps Bryan as COO

Navios Maritime Holdings Inc. has hired Cargill's dry bulk trading head Jeremy J. Bryan as chief operating officer of Navios Corporation, effective as of February 1, 2019.Bryan, who worked at Cargill International S.A. since 1992, has served in various positions during his tenure there, most recently as global head of dry bulk trading, having previously served as the head of the Panamax and Handymax trading departments.He has also served as a Lieutenant in the Dutch Military and has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Nijenrode Business University.

TOP Ships Announces Time Charter With Cargill International SA

TOP Ships Inc. an international owner and operator of modern, fuel efficient "ECO" tanker vessels currently focusing on the transportation of petroleum products, has announced that it entered into a sale and leaseback agreement and a 5 year time charter with Cargill International SA (“Cargill Ocean Transportation”) on June 29, 2018, a leading vessel operator and freight-trading business in the bulk shipping sector, for its newbuilding vessel Hull No 8242 currently under construction at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co., South Korea. Consummation of the deal is expected to take place on the vessel’s delivery date currently planned for January 2019. Following the sale, the company will bareboat charter back the vessel and immediately put it on a 5 year time charter with Cargill Ocean Transportation.

Diana Shipping through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with Koch Shipping, Singapore, for one of its Capesize dry bulk vessels, the m/v Baltimore. The global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels said that the gross charter rate is US$18,050 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of about 12 months to about 14 months. The charter commenced earlier today. The m/v Baltimore was chartered, as previously announced, to Cargill International S.A., Geneva, at a gross charter rate of US$11,300 per day, minus a 4.75% commission paid to third parties. Diana Shipping Inc. announced today that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with Cargill International S.A., Geneva, for one of its Kamsarmax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Myrto, a 82,131 dwt ship built in 2013   The charter commenced today at a rate of $6,000 per day, minus a 4.75 percent commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum 10 months to about 13 months.   Diana Shipping Expects the employment to generate approximately $1.8 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.

Capital Product Partners Declare Cash Distribution

Capital Product Partners L.P. a Marshall Islands master limited partnership and an international owner of modern tanker, container and drybulk vessels today announced that its board of directors has declared a cash distribution of $0.2385 per common unit for the fourth quarter of 2015 ended December 31, 2015. The fourth quarter common unit cash distribution will be paid on February 12, 2016, to unit holders of record on February 5, 2016. Diana Shipping Inc. specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels, today announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has agreed to extend the present time charter contract with Cargill International S.A., Geneva, for one of its Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Leto, for a period of about fifteen (15) months to about eigtheen (18) months. The gross charter rate is US$7,100 per day, minus a 4.75% commission paid to third parties. The new charter period is expected to commence on June 19, 2015. The “Leto” is a 81,297 dwt Panamax dry bulk vessel built in 2010. This employment extension is anticipated to generate approximately US$3.1 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.

Diana Shipping Inc., today informed that through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it entered into a time charter contract with Cargill International S.A., Geneva, for one of its Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Naias. The gross charter rate is US$6,800 per day minus a 4.75% commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum ten (10) months to maximum thirteen (13) months. The charter commenced yesterday. The “Naias” is a 73,546 dwt Panamax dry bulk vessel built in 2006. Additionally, the Company announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it entered into a time charter contract with Norden A/S, Copenhagen, for one of its Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Thetis.

Diana Shipping Inc. today announced that through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it entered into a time charter contract with Cargill International S.A., Geneva, for one of its Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Melite. The gross charter rate is $7,250 per day minus a 4.75 percent commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum 11 months to maximum 14 months. The charter is expected to commence tomorrow. The Melite is a 76,436 dwt Panamax dry bulk vessel built in 2004. This employment is anticipated to generate approximately $2.39 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter. Diana Shipping Inc.’s fleet currently consists of 41 dry bulk vessels (two Newcastlemax, 12 Capesize, three Post-Panamax, four Kamsarmax and 20 Panamax).
