ASCO Completes Irgiz Overhaul

Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) announced that its towing and supply vessel Irgiz, belonging to the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet, has been accomplished major overhaul. The vessel was repaired at the “Bibiheybat” Ship Repair Yard.The main and auxiliary steering gears and engines, oil and water coolers, air cylinder fittings, pumps for various purposes, separators, and piping systems were repaired. ACS Completes Giant Crane Ship

ASCO Vessel Om Back in Operation

2nd Stage Of Pipe Laying in Absheron Field Over

Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping CSJC (ASCO) announced that its vessels - Suleiman Vazirov and Yarenga - have completed the second stage of pipe laying work in the Absheron gas and condensate field located in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea.According to the Azerbaijani shipping company, at this stage, an 8-inch pipeline with a length of 11,459 meters was layed in the Absheron area between jackets No. 23 and No. 57.Next stage includes pipe laying works at the Gas Separation Station No. 2 of the Bulla-Deniz field. Largest Barge of Caspian Sea Undergone Overhaul

The barge of STB-1 owned by the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet of the CJSC Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) has undergone an overhaul. The overhaul has been carried out at the Bibi-Heybat Shipyard.As part of the overhaul, the underwater and surface parts of the barge were cleaned and painted. Along with this, the bottom-side reinforcement of the barge was repaired.At the end of the overhaul, the barge “STB-1” was handed over to the crew members and Registry Classification representatives. The barge has already been released to water and shipped to the port (base) belonging to the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet.The length of the barge “STB-1” is 163, width – 45 meters. The safe load capacity is 18000 tons.

ASCO Completes Overhaul of Shirvan-3

Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) has completed the overhaul of the crane vessel Shirvan-3 of the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet. The overhaul was carried out at “Bibi-Heybat” Shipyard.The ropes with a lifting capacity of 100 tons were replaced during the overhaul of the vessel. Besides, the routine maintenance of the main and auxiliary engines, pumps, piping systems, sanitary facilities and electric motors was performed.During the dock repair of the ship “Shirvan-3”, damaged underwater and surface sections of the hull were replaced, painting work was completed. Along with this, the propulsion and steering complex, ground-side reinforcement, and tread installation were repaired.“Shirvan-3” has been lifted on the dock to replace the damaged underwater and surface sections of the hull.

Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Repairs Towing-Supply Vessel "Nercha"

Major overhaul of the towing and supply vessel "Nercha" belonging to the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet of the “Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping” CJSC has been accomplished at the “Bibiheybat” Ship Repair Yard.During the repair works the ship's main and auxiliary engines, pumps and pipeline systems were repaired. Moreover, the cabins of the crew, sanitary junctions and dining rooms have been renewed.At the same time, by lifting ship to the dock, the works on the adjustment of propulsion-steering complex, repairing of bottom-outboard fittings and protective installations were performed.The replacement of the damaged areas on the hull’s draft and its surface, which constituted a hazard for the flotation, was carried out.

Azerbaijani Vessels Completes Filanovsky Mission

The vessels of Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ACSC) have successfully completed their mission at the “Filanovski” oilfield  in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea.A press statement from ACSC said that the towing vessel “Yarnega”, owned by Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company and lift vessel “Gurban Abbasov” expolited by Shipping Company in alliance with Caspian Marine Services (CMS) successfully completed their missions in “Filanovski” oil field in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea, where they have been involved in the second stage of the works under contract with the company “Voltar Marine”.Within this project, lift vessel "Gurban Abbasov" with a safe load capacity of 600 tons will be involved in the installation of platform jacket in the field…

Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Carry Out Dredging in Russian Sector of Caspian Sea

The vessels owned by the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet of the CJSC "Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company" carry out dredging operation at the Filanovsky field on the basis of a contract with Voltar Marine. A dredging vessel ("Engineer Balarza Mammadov"), three soil transportation ships (“Bakinskaya 3”, “Bakinskaya 5”, “Bakinskaya 6”) and supply-towing vessel “Yarenga” were involved in the implementation of the dredging project. A total of 27050 cubic meters of dredging works were carried out. Thus, the first stage of the project, which started on June 26, 2013, was completed. The implementation of the works planned for the second stage of the project at the Filanovsky field will also be carried out by the vessels of the Shipping Company.

Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company Overhauls Towing, Supply Vessel

Major overhaul of the towing and supply vessel "Andoga" belonging to the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company has been completed, said a press release. The main engines, main and reserve pumps, pipeline systems, power plants and control equipment, steering and auxiliary steering device were repaired. Two new diesel engines were installed, damaged parts of the hull and a wooden deck cover were replaced, and the lighting system was updated. Along with this, the repair work was also carried out in the living quarters of the working personnel, the sanitary facilities and the dining room. The living and service spaces of the crew, as well as the sanitary and living conditions created on the vessel, meet all standards.

RS Promotes QMS Certification Services

Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) said it has certified the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet quality management system for compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007 standards, as well as the Azerbaijan State Marine Academy for compliance with ISO 9001:2008 standard. The classification society said it actively interacts with the Maritime Administration and port state control bodies, participates in offshore oil and gas field development projects, cooperates in R&D and education with specialized higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan. J. Ray McDermott’s Caspian subsidiary has completed installation of offshore facilities at the Yuri Korchagin field for OOO LUKOIL-Nizhnevolzhskneft (LUKOIL), a subsidiary of OAO LUKOIL Oil Company. The Yuri Korchagin field is the first of the North Caspian fields in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea to be developed by LUKOIL and brought commercially on-stream. The field development requires a number of major offshore facilities including an ice-resistant fixed processing platform (LSP-1) and adjacent living quarters (LSP-2) joined together by a 243-foot bridge.
