Caterpillar Marine Systems Doubles Parts Warranty
Caterpillar Marine Power Systems says it has increased the warranty on Cat Brand Parts used in all marine applications from six months to one year. The warranty covers all parts used in Cat marine engines, Cat marine generator sets, Cat branded marine control systems and Cat marine transmissions. The extended coverage applies to all parts sold or utilized in service work on or after June 1, 2012. The suppliers say that there will be no additional cost to customers for this significant extension of warranty protection.

Caterpillar Relaunch Classic Workhorse 3406C Marine Diesel
Caterpillar Marine Power Systems is relaunching one of the most successful marine engine platforms in its history at the current 2013 International Workboat Show. The Cat® 3406C marine propulsion engine will enter production in late 2013, providing customers in lesser regulated countries, including Latin America and Asia, with an economical, dependable solution for their commercial marine vessels. The mechanically governed 3406C propulsion engine will be available in ratings of 272 bkW @ 1800 rpm and 298 bkW @ 1800 rpm.

Caterpillar to feature OCEARCH âShark Wranglersâ, at upcoming 2012 International Workboat Show, New Orleans. Recently featured in the hit television show âShark Wranglersâ on the History Channel, OCEARCH is a non-profit organization with a global reach for unprecedented research on the oceanâs giants. Much of their recent work has been dedicated to solving mysteries surrounding great white sharks.
