Kelleher to Succeed Tivnan as Ardmore Shipping CFO

Tanker owner/operator Ardmore Shipping Corporation on Wednesday announced the planned departure of its current chief financial officer Paul Tivnan and appointment of new CFO Bart Kelleher, effective September 28, 2022.Anthony Gurnee, Ardmore's chief executive officer, said, Kelleher and Tivnan will overlap and work together from September 1 to "achieve an orderly and well-planned transition".Kelleher brings to the role more than 25 years of progressive experience in the maritime, finance, energy and industrials sectors, having most recently served as chief executive officer of Chembulk Tankers. He previously served as both Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Financial Officer of the firm, and prior to that, was the chief operating officer of Principal Maritime Management.

Chembulk Tankers to Join Womar

Chembulk Tankers signed commercial management agreements for its entire fleet of owned and chartered stainless-steel chemical tankers to enter commercial pools managed by Womar Logistics. “Chembulk’s commercial shift to the Womar chemical pools places our quality vessels in an established and growing revenue sharing platform, providing commercial efficiencies, logistics flexibility and a seamless continuation of the performance our customers expect from Chembulk vessels," said Bart Kelleher, CEO, Chembulk. "All other ownership responsibilities will remain fully within Chembulk.”Together with several current Chembulk chartering and operations professionals, the fleet will transition to commercial management by Womar.

Chembulk Tankers announced on Wednseday that Bart B. Kelleher has taken over as Chief Executive Officer for David Ellis, who has resigned for personal reasons. Ellis will be available to the company through January 31, 2020.Kelleher has held senior executive roles within Chembulk since joining the company in early 2016, initially as Chief Strategy Officer and then Chief Financial Officer in early 2019. Laino Named Chembulk CCO

Chembulk Tankers named Steve Laino its Chief Commercial Officer, based out of the Southport office and responsible for all facets of our commercial strategy worldwide, including chartering, projects and client relations. Laino comes to Chembulk with more than two decades of diverse experience in the maritime transportation industry, with experience in the chemical tanker sector. Laino has held roles in operations both at sea and ashore, in commercial capacities as a tanker broker, projects broker and shipowner. Most recently, Laino held the role of Chief Operating Officer of Chemical Transportation Group (CTG), which he founded together with two partners and a group of investors in 2014.

Chembulk Tankers Issues USD 200mln Bond

Chembulk Tankers announced that one of its wholly owned subsidiaries, Chembulk Holding LLC, has priced USD 200 million in senior secured bonds which will carry a coupon of 8.00% and be due in February 2023. The net proceeds from the bond offering will be used for refinancing of existing bank debt and general corporate purposes. In addition, this bond offering contains a tap issuance feature, where Chembulk can expand the issue amount at a future date to a maximum of USD 250 million, subject to standard issuance tests. DNB Markets acted as bookrunner in connection with the placement of the new bond issue, and KKR Capital Markets acted as financial advisor. An application will be made for the bonds to be listed on Oslo Børs.

Ellis Named Chembulk Tanker CEO

Chembulk Tankers appointed David Ellis as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), succeeding Jack Noonan who will retire after 10 years of leading the team at Chembulk Tankers. Effective November 1, 2017, Jack will take on the role of CEO Emeritus through the balance of the year and will continue to advise and counsel Chembulk as part of the leadership transition. Ellis has more than 30 years in chemical and petroleum transportation experience, including over 20 years with Odfjell SE in various leadership roles culminating in the global leadership position in Odfjell’s joint venture with Lindsay Goldberg. He most recently served as CEO of Waypoint Solutions LLC, a Houston-based company he founded in 2016 to develop, buy, and operate midstream assets.

Aiming to provide niche control over managed/owned vessels, Indian maritime based software provider Orion Marine Concepts has released a strategic intelligence software suite approved by DNV GL. ISS Expands Chembulk Deal into S.America and Asia

Maritime and logistics service provider Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) has expanded its agreement with Chembulk Tankers into South America and Asia, the company announced today. The new agreement will see ISS handle some 150 additional port calls for Chembulk Tankers per year, in addition to its existing services on the east and west coasts of America. Chembulk is one of the largest deep-sea chemical shipping companies in the world. ISS’ work with Chembulk now encompasses Brazil in South America and Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand in Asia. Further services will include managing dry dockings in the Bahamas and handling selected port calls in the U.A.E.

PT Berlian Laju Tankers Tbk and Chembulk Tankers announced the opening of their Sao Paulo Branch, CBL Tankers do Brasil ltda.  The name reflects the combination of one traditional and long-established company name with the year-old Chembulk company name-- together operating one of the world’s largest and youngest fleets of stainless steel parcel tankers.  In choosing , BLT and Chembulk are acknowledging the importance of as an international market player in the specialized tanker segment for chemicals, vegetable oils, acids and bio-fuels.

Chembulk Tankers Celebrates Launch

CHEMBULK MARKS OFFICIAL LAUNCH AT MARITIME INDUSTRY GATHERING Amidst an array of industry supporters, Chembulk Tankers, the 21st Century Chemical Carrier Company, launched the newly formed company at a gathering last week held at the R. Jinishian Gallery in Fairfield, CT. The company-- which was formed in January as an acquisition by CEO Bob Burke and the AMA controlled ACP Fund II—entertained maritime industry luminaries surrounded, appropriately, by maritime art. The Chembulk fleet currently consists of fifteen 21st Century high specification stainless steel chemical tankers, with another to be delivered next month and three more next year. All the ships were built to accommodate current and future regulations on the environment and safety.

Reflecting its dramatic growth and participation as an organization, the United States fielded the largest visiting national delegation attending last week’s Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA) Annual Conference. The US delegation was second only to the host country, the United Kingdom. Berlian Acquires Chembulk Tankers

Publicly listed shipping company PT Berlian Laju Tanker (BLT) has acquired Marshall Islands-based chemical tanker company Chembulk Tankers LLC, through its subsidiary Asean Maritime Corporation. Director of BLT, Kevin Wong, said in a statement to the Jakarta Stock Exchange that the cost of the acquisition was $850m. He said the purchase made BLT the third largest chemical tanker operator in the world with 54 ships with a total capacity of 820,600 deadweight tons (DWT). Chembulk now operates 16 double-hull ships capable of carrying a total of 397,200 DWT. It plans to add three more ships by 2009, which will increase its total capacity to 468,200 DWT.
