Sapura Energy Bags Multiple Contracts

Malaysia’s oilfield services player Sapura Energy said it has has clinched contracts worth a total of MYR 1 billion ($242 million) for several new oil patch deals and one – the company’s first – offshore wind contract.The 10 new contracts are for its engineering and construction and drilling segments across Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan and Australia, said a press release from the company.In addition, the company has been selected for a frame agreement with Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) for fixed offshore structure works, the company said in a statement today.Regarding the first offshore wind farm contract, the statement said, "Sapura Offshore Sdn Bhd (Sapura Offshore) has been awarded a contract by Yunneng Wind Power Co. Ltd.

Ross to Drive New Business Lines at LOC Singapore

Rutger Bierman, Managing Director at London Offshore Consultants (LOC) Singapore, has confirmed that Don Ross, who previously established and headed LOC Thailand, is stepping up to assume responsibility for the Group’s Fixed Object Damage and Port Development business lines in Singapore, including surveys and audits. Shelf Drilling Sings 5-Yr Contract For 2 Newbuild Jackups

Shelf Drilling, Ltd. today announces that one of its subsidiaries has been awarded contracts for two newbuild jackup rigs by Chevron Thailand, a subsidiary of Chevron Corporation (NYSE : CVX). The two drilling contracts are for a five-year term each and the newbuild rigs are scheduled to commence operations offshore Thailand during the first and third quarter of 2017 respectively. The estimated revenues which could be generated over the five-year contract term are approximately USD 281 million for each rig, excluding revenues for mobilization, demobilization and miscellaneous adjustments. In connection with the contracts, Shelf Drilling will commission two fit-for-purpose newbuild jackup rigs based on the MLT Super 116 E design. A subsidiary of Shelf Drilling, Ltd.

Keppel FELS Delivers Third Super B Jackup to Transocean

Keppel FELS has delivered to Transocean their third consecutive KFELS Super B Class jackup rig on time, on budget and with zero lost-time incidents. The rig was named Transocean Ao Thai on August 31, 2013 at Keppel FELS and has been chartered to Chevron for work in offshore Thailand. EMAS Wins Chevron Contract

EMAS' Offshore Construction division, EMAS AMC, was awarded a contract by Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production Ltd, Chevron Offshore (Thailand) Ltd and Chevron Pattani Ltd. This award will see EMAS AMC installing a number of wellhead platforms and associated pipelines in the Gulf of Thailand. This project is expected to commence in early 2012 for a three year firm period (2012 – 2014) with an option period for an additional two years (2015 – 2016), which in aggregate is estimated to increase the orderbook for EMAS AMC to over $600m. Mr Lionel Lee, EMAS’s Managing Director, said: “This award is an important milestone for us and reaffirms the growing relationship that we have with Chevron in the Asia Pacific region”.

J. Ray McDermott Wins Chevron Platong Gas II Project

J. Ray McDermott S. A. said that subsidiaries of the company were recently awarded an engineering, procurement, construction and installation contract by Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production for the Platong Gas II Project in the . The contract encompasses the full EPCI scope associated with the project’s central processing platform, representing a float-over deck weight of approximately 19,000 tons. Additional work in the contract includes J. Ray providing EPCI services for the associated living-quarters platform, flare tripod and three bridges.  Engineering work has commenced at J. Ray’s office and installation is expected in the by the end of 2010.
