The forthcoming Bangladesh's 2nd International exhibition on MPS Expo 2014 (Maritime, Port, Shipping) is the largest commercial marine trade show on the South East Asian countries, serving all aspects of the market, including commercial vessels, owners, commercial fisherman, navy, ship builders, ship building equipment, ship repairs, shipping, logistics, boat builders and sea food processors, this annual event covers it all. The EXPO will feature marine related equipment, gear, services, suppliers, new products and ideas and promises to bring visitors face-to-face with hundred of suppliers. MPS Expo 2014 of (Maritime, Port, Shipping Expo) is the only show dedicated to various regions and industry.
Shipyard in Developing Country Making Impact
Bangladesh Shipbuilding Company Western Marine Shipyard Limited has delivered two more ships to German owners setting a milestone in the country’s shipbuilding industry. The delivery is the fourth pair of ice class ships built by Western Marine for the German buyer Grona Shipping. This project is believed to be the highest in value in Bangladesh shipbuilding industry. “This is the first time that a Bangladeshi shipyard hands over six ships in a row to a single owner,” said Western Marine Chairman Saiful Islam at the handing over ceremony at Chittagong Boat Club, Patenga.
