Laborde Builds up Industrial Sales Team

Helping round out its industrial salesforce, Laborde Products welcomes two new salesmen. Cody Dean will handle industrial engine and equipment sales in southern Louisiana and southern Mississippi, while Chris Wright will respond to the needs of northern Louisiana and northern Mississippi. Dean previously served as territorial manager at Woolf-Harris. He will provide customers with the information needed to select the best diesel engine for on/offshore operations, standby and backup generators and all diesel industrial engines for land or permanent applications.

Spudding of Exploration Well on Darwin

Fairfield Energy COO Ian Sharp on board Dunlin platform which recently had investment of £70 million to help increase and sustain production.

Fairfield Energy, a North Sea-focused independent oil and gas company,  announced that the first well of a three well campaign in the Darwin area spudded on 23 October. The well is being drilled from the Ocean Nomad and is operated by Fairfield. The Darwin area includes the southern end of Block 211/27a (previously known as the NW Hutton field) together with an extension into Block 211/27e and lies approximately 130 km northeast of the Shetland Islands in the Northern North Sea.

Coast Guard Conducts Training At Port of Catoosa

The Coast Guard is in Green Country for a series of exercises. Members of the Lower Mississippi Sector of the Guard trained Wednesday at the Port of Catoosa. The Coast Guard doesn't find itself in Oklahoma much, but the Port of Catoosa is a federal waterway, and the News On 6’s Chris Wright reports the Guard says it needs to become familiar with the area in case there is an emergency. If the Port is the target of a terrorist attack, if there is a chemical spill or other disaster, the Guard is responsible for handling it. Because of that responsibility, its members want to make sure they are familiar with the area. While they are here primarily for training purposes…
