Total Marine Fuels Appoint New MD

Total Marine Fuels has appointed Anna Whitehouse as managing director, succeeding Christophe Girardot who has held the position for the past 4 years. Ms Whitehouse is a chemical engineer and has spent 25 years working in the petroleum industry, including 20 years within the Total group holding various positions in France, the UK and abroad. A company statement says that her 10 years experience in Asia, working mainly in the lubricants and retail businesses, will help her develop Total Marine Fuels in that region. “Today,” says Ms Whitehouse, “Total Marine Fuels has several faces. In Europe our aim is to market bunker fuels produced by the European refineries of the Total group including Le Havre, Donges, Fos/Lavera and Antwerp.

New Barge Speeds Le Havre Bunker Options

TOTAL Marine Fuels has increased its bunkering capacity at the port of Le Havre and at the Port 2000 container facilities with the delivery of its new bunkering barge, Cimil. The 4,500 tonne capacity bunker tanker is highly manoeuvrable and can deliver blends and different grades at 500 tph. Christophe Girardot, General Manager TOTAL Marine Fuels, says, "Cimil is a modern and flexible barge which will complement the bunker delivery capacity we have in Le Havre with our current barge ST Sara. It will improve service to our contract clients, mostly liner and cruise operators, while allowing us to offer a replacement to the  ntifer pipeline service for tankers, which is out of service this year.

TOTAL Increases Le Havre Options with New Barge

Total Marine Fuels has increased its bunkering capacity at the port of Le Havre and at the Port 2000 container facilities with the delivery of its new bunkering barge, FS Sara. At the same time, TMF is also making low-sulphur fuel oil available at the French port for the first time. The double-hulled seagoing FS Sara has capacity for 7,500 MT of fuel oil and 500 MT of MGO, and is to start work immediately. TMF products now available at Le Havre include RMK700 (500cSt), IFO 380 / 180, LSFO 380 / 180 and MGO DMA 0.1 percent.
