Liebherr Turnover Tops $11 Billion

The Liebherr Group notched up a company record turnover of $11.8 million in 2018, representing an increase of $828 million, or 7.5 %, compared with the previous year.Despite a slight decline in overall economic growth, revenues from construction machinery and mining equipment rose by 10.8 % to $7,761 million, with especially strong contributions from the Earthmoving, Mobile Cranes and Mining divisions. Liebherr Expects Turnover Dip

For the 2014 business year, the Liebherr Group is currently anticipating an overall turnover of 8,866 million euros (2013: 8,964 million euros). In the area of construction machines and mining, a decline is expected. For the other areas, the 2014 figures are higher than the previous year’s. The Liebherr Group’s overall turnover is expected to be 8,866 million euros in this business year. Compared with the turnover from 2013, this is a slight drop of about 98 million euros, or 1%.

Liebherr’s 2013 Turnover Steady Despite Weak Economic Climate

The overall economic situation did not improve in 2013. According to current forecasts, the global economy will grow by just under 3% and global production probably by 3.1%. In this year the volume of worldwide trade will, according to World Trade Organization (WTO) forecasts, increase by 2.5%. Liebherr Group Achieves Highest Turnover in its History

World economic development was weaker in 2012 than in the previous year. Although growth was still 3.2%, the emerging markets’ rates of growth declined as well. The industrial nations continued to pursue a course between consolidation and economic stabilization. Within the Eurozone only a few countries achieved economic growth. Aker Solutions Awarded Contracts GBS

Aker Solutions has been awarded contracts from Exxon Neftegas Limited, as operator on behalf of the Sakhalin-1 Consortium, for designing, constructing and delivering the Arkutun-Dagi gravity base structure (GBS) for the Sakhalin-1 project. The GBS construction will primarily utilize Russian workers, subcontractors, and materials. Once completed, the GBS will be located offshore Sakhalin Island on the east coast of Russia and will be a part of the drilling and production facilities for the Arkutun-Dagi development, a future phase of Sakhalin-1. The other participants in the Sakhalin-1 Consortium are SODECO, ONGC Videsh Ltd, and affiliates of Rosneft, Sakhalinmorneftegas-Shelf and RN-Astra.

Environmental Groups Receive Funding

At a special action Port of Tacoma Commission, eight non-profit environmental groups received funding, and the Commission passed a resolution in support of the Shared Strategy for Puget Sound. The Port of Tacoma, Pierce County and the City of Tacoma jointly announced a total of $41,888 to environmental groups that are working to improve the environment of Commencement Bay and the lower Puyallup River watershed. Ranging from $3,000 to $7,000 per group, the source of the one-time awards are excess dollars funded but not spent on earlier, successfully completed Port, County and City environmental projects.
