VPS Expands Lubricant Oil Condition Monitoring Services

The marine fuels testing company Veritas Petroleum Services (VPS) announced the latest expansion of the company’s lubricant oil condition monitoring (OCM) service. In the company’s continuous drive to offer its customers a widening range of technically advanced, value-added services, VPS have made a significant financial investment to equip their Rotterdam Laboratory with the very latest analytical technology, automation and robotics for the testing of lubricants. The introduction of such advanced equipment and systems, enables a significant increase in the laboratory’s capacity and efficiency and will further assist VPS clients’ effective condition monitoring and routine maintenance programmes.

Wärtsilä, Ensco Ink Maintenance Deal

Wärtsilä, the leading global supplier of flexible and efficient power plant solutions and services, has signed a maintenance agreement with Ensco, a global provider of offshore drilling services to the petroleum industry. The agreement, signed in September 2015, will create both short- and long-term savings by optimising Ensco's assets and improving predictability through extensive condition monitoring services and parts supply management for Ensco's four drillships equipped with six Wärtsilä 32 engines. In the offshore markets, Wärtsilä's customers are continuously seeking increased reliability, maximum uptime and optimal operational efficiency as well as ensuring safe and sustainable environmental performance in harsh environments.

XPD8 Seals Ghana FPSO Contract

Asset integrity management specialist XPD8 Solutions said it has continued its recent success in West Africa for work off the coast of Ghana. Over an 18-month period, the company will develop the maintenance program and inventory data for MODEC’s TEN MV25 floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel, operated on behalf of Tullow Oil. XPD8 is a company in maintenance engineering, condition monitoring and integrity services for the oil and gas sector. The company’s international reach has grown over the past 12 months to cover Europe, South East Asia and Africa.

U.K. Offshore Maintenance Contract for XPD8 Solutions

Aberdeen, Scotland-based XPD8 Solutions' condition monitoring team secures contracts valued at more than £2-million. The company, which specializes in the management of maintenance systems for oil and gas producing assets, has been awarded contracts to deliver further condition monitoring support to CNR, Wood Group PSN and Hess over the next three years. XPD8 currently has a full order book, and to prepare for future growth the company will create 18 positions across all departments in 2013. The contract to provide condition monitoring services to CNR’s platforms in the North Sea will see XPD8 maintain its existing links with the operator stretching back more than five years.

Mimic Shipping Classification Report

Martin Briddon MBE from James Fisher Mimic, provider of engineering and condition monitoring services and part of the James Fisher Group, will launch the Mimic Shipping Classification Report at the Lloyds List Condition Monitoring in Shipping conference. Generated from within the Mimic Condition Monitoring software, the report will combine condition monitoring and vibration data together with information from AMOS Maintenance & Purchase and present it in electronic or hardcopy versions to a visiting Class Surveyor. Created in conjunction with Lloyds Register, this report will allow ship operators to present machinery information required for class survey.
