BSP Contracts AqualisBraemar

Oil & natural gas company Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP) has awarded AqualisBraemar a frame agreement to conduct rig inspection services for the operator.The agreement is valid for three years with an option to extend the contract for additional periods of three times one year, said the Norway-based global company that provides, through its subsidiaries and associates, consultancy services to the energy, marine and insurance sectors.Oslo-listed AqualisBraemar – a result of the recent unification between Aqualis Offshore and Braemar Technical Services – will provide rig inspection services, engineering and training services to Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP).AqualisBraemar will manage the contract out of its office in Malaysia…

Kvaerner in Statoil Unmanned Platform Project

Kvaerner say that Statoil has awarded it a concept study related to a standardised, unmanned dry tree wellhead platform for the Oseberg Future Development project. The concept is focused on minimisation of facilities, equipment and costs down to water depths of 150 meters and may be a cost effective solution compared to a conventional subsea tie-back solution. Kvaerner have already for some time worked on developing a cost efficient, standardised wellhead platform concept called "Subsea on a stick."  The new wellhead platforms could both increase recovery and utilise the new generations of jack-up drilling rigs, as well as reducing development costs.

Aker Solutions Sign UK Continental Shelf Frame Agreement

Aker Solutions secures a 5-year frame agreement to execute contracts acrossTalisman Sinopec Energy UK Ltd's offshore brownfield projects. Although the contract contains no firm spending commitment, the anticipated multi-million pound agreement cements the long standing relationship between the two organisations. Aker Solutions Secures Extended Agreement with Statoil

Statoil has exercised a two-year contract option with Aker Solutions for provision of mechanical wireline services on Statoil operated fields and mobile drilling units on the Norwegian continental shelf. The initial three-year contract period started in 2009. Statoil has now exercised the first of two potential two-year contract options. Aker Solutions estimates that the two-year contract extension will generate revenues of between NOK 700-800 million. The contract will occupy around 400 employees, of which approximately 60 per cent will be supporting Statoil offshore. Aker Solutions will manage the agreement from its well service hub at Forus, Stavanger, Norway. "Our cooperation with Statoil within the mechanical wireline segment dates back to 1984.

Aker Solutions Secures Contract with Total E&P UK Ltd

Aker Solutions has secured a three year contract to provide operations and maintenance services to Total E&P UK Ltd and its joint venture partner DONG E&P (UK) Ltd at the new Shetland Gas Plant (SGP). The agreement includes provision of operations, maintenance and services support personnel for Total E&P UK at the new gas plant, which will receive gas from the Laggan and Tormore fields, west of Shetland. The contract is valid for three and a half years with an optional two year extension. It will see the creation of up to 150 positions in support of the contract, both on-site at SGP and onshore in Aberdeen. Contract value is undisclosed. Aker Solutions has worked with Total E&P UK since 1989 continually developing the joint relationship and overall service provision.

Aker Solutions Signs Contract with Dong Energy

Aker Solutions has signed a contract with Dong Energy to provide well intervention services for the oil company's assets offshore Norway and Denmark. Under the contract Aker Solutions will deliver electrical wireline logging services and wireline tractor services at the oil and gas fields where Dong Energy operates on the Danish and Norwegian continental shelves. The contract is valid for two years plus an optional two-year extension (2+2). Aker Solutions estimates that the contract will generate revenues of approximately NOK 40 million annually.

Aker Solutions Awarded Agreement with Statoil

Aker Solutions has been awarded a four-year frame agreement from Statoil for delivering wireline tractor services on the Norwegian continental shelf. The frame agreement is valid for four (4) years from 2013 to 2017, with two additional two-year options (2+2). Aker Solutions will deliver well intervention services using its proprietary wireline tractor technology and wireline tractor application tools. Under the agreement Aker Solutions will deliver wireline tractor services to the platforms that Statoil operates out of Stavanger, Norway, including Statfjord, Volve, Sleipner, Snorre, Gudrun, Dagny and Ermintrude. Aker Solutions has secured a three year contract extension worth £18million (GBP) to provide onshore and offshore operations and maintenance services to Perenco UK. The agreement includes provision of operations, maintenance and technical support personnel for Perenco at its on and offshore assets in the southern North Sea. More than 80 Aker Solutions employees are currently involved in delivering work for Perenco UK with the majority based offshore. Aker Solutions wins Svalin Umbilical Deal

Aker Solutions has been awarded a contract by Subsea 7 for the design and fabrication of a control umbilical for Statoil's Svalin C project on the Norwegian continental shelf. Contract value is undisclosed. Scope of work includes a six kilometre long control umbilical, connectors, engineering and project management. "We are very pleased to be awarded another contract on the Norwegian continental shelf and look forward to supporting Subsea 7 with this Statoil fast-track project," says Tove Røskaft, executive vice president of Aker Solutions' umbilical business. Management, engineering and procurement of the umbilical will be performed at Aker Solutions' headquarters in Fornebu, Norway. Manufacturing will take place in Moss, Norway.

Aker Solutions to Supply Loading Systems for Shuttle Tankers

Aker Solutions has been awarded contracts for the supply of Pusnes offshore loading systems for ten shuttle tankers that will operate in Brazil and Norway. The total contract value for Aker Solutions is approximately NOK 150 million. Several major South Korean shipyards have awarded Aker Solutions contracts for the supply of Pusnes bow loading system for 10 suezmax shuttle tankers. Eight of the shuttle tankers are being built for various ship-owners, and will operate in Brazilian waters. Two of the shuttle tankers will operate for a Norwegian ship-owner at the Goliat field in the Barents Sea. The Pusnes bow loading system enables a safe and secure connection for the hose to the shuttle tanker.

Aker Solutions Secures New UK Contract

Aker Solutions has secured a contract for maintenance, modifications and operations work with an undisclosed customer in the UK sector of the North Sea. The two-year contract will guarantee over 180 jobs annually for Aker Solutions in Aberdeen, UK. There are also two optional one-year contract extensions that may be exercised in the future. Umbilical Contract Awarded to Aker Solutions

Aker Solutions has been selected to supply a subsea umbilical to Det norske oljeselskap ASA's Jette field. The order is worth approximately NOK 60 million. Det norske's initial order is for six kilometres of static electro-hydraulic stainless steel umbilical. The umbilical will include electrical and hydraulic functions, in addition to a three inch gas lift line and methanol injection. Subsea umbilicals are deployed on the seabed to supply necessary control and chemicals to subsea oil  and gas wells, subsea manifolds and any subsea system requiring a remote control. Engineering and project management will be provided from Aker Solutions' Oslo headquarters. Manufacturing will take place at Aker Solutions' umbilical facility in Moss, Norway. The estimated delivery date is Q3, 2012.

FPSO Installation deal to Aker Solutions

MODEC Offshore Production Systems (Singapore) Pte Ltd. awarded Aker Solutions' wholly-owned subsidiary Aker Marine Contractors a mooring installation contract for hook-up of the Bourgogne FPSO offshore Angola. Contract value is approximately $30m. MODEC will supply the PSVM FPSO to BP for the oil company's PSVM (Plutão, Saturno, Vênus and Marte) development in Block 31 offshore Angola. The FPSO will be installed in approximately 2 000 meters water depth and have production capacity of 157,000 barrels per day. "This contract represents another significant step forward in our relationship with MODEC," says Erik Wiik, President - Subsea North America, Aker Solutions.

Aker Solutions Power Cable Installation Contract

Aker Solution' marine operations unit has entered into a long-term agreement with ABB regarding installation of power cables and related services. ABB will charter one of Aker Solutions' new vessels for installation campaigns during 2012 and 2013. Aker Solutions estimates that this can generate revenues up to $82.3m. The agreement also includes options for further campaigns in the period 2014 - 2016. Key deliverables from Aker Soutions will in addition to the vessel include project management, engineering and offshore execution. The vessel is a state-of-the-art installation vessel uniquely equipped to install long, heavy power cables and subsea umbilicals. It is one of Aker Solutions' vessels already under construction.

Subsea Umbilical Frame Agreement

Aker Solutions has signed a frame agreement with Shell Norway and Shell U.K. Limited for the supply of subsea umbilicals. The contract is awarded for one year with an option to extend it an additional 12 months. The award means that Aker Solutions will be the preferred supplier of steel tube umbilicals for projects in the North Sea that are managed by Shell's Norwegian and UK operations. Subsea Equipment Contract, Aker Solutions

Aker Solutions has been awarded a contract by StatoilHydro for the delivery of a complete work-over system for subsea trees at the challenging high-pressure/high-temperature (HP/HT) Kristin field in the Norwegian Sea. Contract value is approximately $49.2m. Scope of work includes engineering, procurement, manufacturing and testing of a complete work-over intervention system, including tools. A work-over system is equipment that is needed to perform well intervention activities on subsea wells. The objective of work-over operations is to maintain and increase production from the subsea wells. The contract is a call-off from the frame agreement signed between StatoilHydro and Aker Solutions in Q3 2007.

Aker Solutions Contracts for Petrobras

Aker Solutions has been awarded two contracts for Petrobras' P-55 project in Brazil for the design and supply of an Aker Solutions' Pusnes offshore mooring system(TM) and a Pusnes riser pull-in system(TM). The total contract value for Aker Solutions is approximately NOK 130 million. The contracts consist of 16 roller RamWinches(TM) and several specially designed winches and wire routing system for a semi production unit owned by Petrobras PN BV. The semi production unit will be built at the new Rio Grande shipyard in Brazil. After completion it will be located on the Roncador Field offshore Brazil. Aker Solutions has developed the Pusnes RamWinch(TM) design which is an innovative, cost effective, on-vessel mooring solution.

Aker Awarded FEED Contract

StatoilHydro has awarded Aker Solutions a front end engineering design (FEED) study for upgrading the Gullfaks A drilling facilities. The drilling upgrade is expected to extend the productive lifetime of Gullfaks A. Contract value is estimated to be approximately $8.6m. Scope of work for the FEED study includes new equipment to increase drilling capacity and modification of existing installations offshore. The study will consider the possibility to upgrade the drilling capacity to reach 10 kilometers, including heavy lifting to install a new derrick. The FEED will also include improvement of environment, health and safety (HSE) upgrading for the equipment to be better suited for the increased longitude. The object is to install top modern equipment and automated offshore installation.

Aker Solutions Supplies Noble Drillships

Aker Solutions has been selected to provide a comprehensive package of drilling equipment, including derrick and pipe-handling components, for use in upgrades planned for Noble Corporation's three Brazil-based drillships. The contract value is approximately $14.7m.   The components are expected to be delivered and installed as part of previously announced reliability upgrades of the vessels Noble Leo Segerius, the Noble Roger Eason and the Noble Murvalenko.
