OW Bunker Delivers Significant Time Savings

Time of bunkering process significantly reduced providing savings of thousands of dollars per day. OW Bunker has announced significant efficiency benefits following the commencement of distributing fuel oil with an MPA-approved (Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore) Coriolis Flow Meter on-board its latest barge in Singapore, Marine Noel. The time to supply bunkers, which normally takes between seven and eight hours has been reduced by 50% by using the Coriolis Flow Meter, providing customers with significant time, and therefore, cost savings.

OW Bunker Launches 3rd Barge in Singapore

OW Bunker, a physical distributor and reseller of marine fuels, today announced the launch of its third barge in Singapore. According to the company, the move is part of its strategy to continue the expansion of its physical operation in the region. The vessel also has a Coriolis Flow Meter installed, which has been approved by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). Marine Noel, operated by Sinanju Tankers Pte Ltd, is a modern, 4,700 DWT barge, built in 2012. The vessel has fast pumping rates and can distribute the full range of quality products to customers.

OW Bunker Installs Coriolis Flow Meters

Company continues roll-out of measurement technology across global fleet to provide customers with accuracy in supply. OW Bunker  hasannounced that it has installed a Coriolis Flow Meter on one of its refueling barges in Rotterdam. OW Bunker is the first independent physical fuel distributor to use the technology when supplying customers in the region, as it looks to ensure increased accuracy in measuring the quantity of product delivered. The new technology will be subjected to a rigorous trial period before being offered as a standard feature to customers refueling in Rotterdam.

OW Bunker's West Africa Offshore Fueling Avoids Port Calls

OW Bunker, one of the world’s largest suppliers and traders of marine fuels and lubricants, have launched a physical fuel supply operation from its bunker tankship offshore West Africa, covering Morocco, Mauritania, Senegal and offshore  waters down to the Ivory Coast. OW Bunker Canary Islands will supply customers with the full range of fuels and lubricants from its newly launched 8,250dwt double-hulled tanker Wappen von Frankfurt, and the company say that a second vessel is due to be launched before the end of this year. The launch of the physical supply operation complements the company’s existing trading operation across the region and will provide customers with end-to-end bunker and lubricant supply and related services, including slops disposal.
