Pacific Green Technologies has announced the  appointment of Iain Lees as Chief Operating Officer to support company growth initiatives around proprietary emission control systems for marine vessels.The owner of the ENVI-Marine and ENVI-Clean Exhaust Gas Scrubbing Systems said in a press note that Lees joins the Company from HannawayCA Corporate Finance Limited (HCACF), a leading financial and business advisory firm in Northern Ireland where he has served as Managing Director since January 2017.Pacific Green CEO Neil Carmichael said: “We are proud to welcome a senior executive of Iain’s caliber to the Pacific Green management team. Iain has deep expertise leading key aspects of a variety of organizations including extensive work with energy projects.

Soundview Maritime, LLC, an owner and operator of mid-sized container ships for charter to leading global ocean and intermodal transportation companies, today announced it has engaged Dr. Moritz Mittelbach, a maritime industry veteran, as its exclusive strategic advisor. In this role, Dr. Mittelbach will advise Soundview on the purchase, financing, and long term charter of container vessels as well as other strategic initiatives to grow and improve the company. Littlejohn & Co. and Northern Shipping Funds (Northern) established Soundview Maritime in 2010 and have made equity commitments that enable the acquisition of between 10 and 20 containerships in the 1,000 to 4,000 TEU range.

Alexander Papachristidis-Bove has been appointed Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of Hellespont Steamship Corp, the Piraeus-based ship management and marine services company, with effect from October 1, 2009. He replaces Dr. Mike Kennedy, who assumes the role of Managing Director of Hellespont Consultants Corp and remains responsible for the company’s newbuilding programme. Seward & Kissel LLP announced that James E. Abbott has joined the firm as a partner. He will be joining Seward & Kissel’s Corporate Finance Department to help lead its Business Transactions Group, which handles mergers and acquisitions, private equity and debt transactions, PIPEs, venture capital transactions, joint ventures, seed capital arrangements and various other business transactions. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Abbott was partner at Wall Street law firm Carter Ledyard & Milburn LLP, and earlier in his career he worked in London at Ashurst.

Philip has worked in the shipping industry for P & O Plc (UK) and Jebsens Rederi (Norway) and is qualified as a Chief Engineer (First Class). In 1986 he was invited to join ANZ McCaughan Dyson Securities in the City of London and later, Banque Paribas Capital Markets as a Senior Pan-European telecommunication and energy analyst.
