Cosco Pacific, PSA Team Up to Expand Terminals in Singapore

COSCO-PSA Terminal Pte Ltd (CPT), a joint venture company formed by Cosco Pacific Limited (Cosco Pacific) and PSA Corporation Limited (PSA), is investing in new container berths in Singapore capable of serving the next generation of mega container vessels. The new investment agreement was signed in Shanghai by Qiu Jinguang, Managing Director, Cosco Pacific and Mr Ong Kim Pong, Regional CEO Southeast Asia, PSA International. When the new berths begin operations from 2017, they will be fully integrated with PSA’s infrastructure and supported by the latest automated and intelligent port technologies. These will help to raise port productivity and enhance PSA’s ability to manage greater business complexity for the benefit of its customers.

Deng Huangjun New CFO for China Cosco

China Cosco Holdings has appointed Deng Huangjun as its new chief financial officer, after his predecessor Tang Runjiang resigned. Deng, 53, is also a director and deputy managing director at Cosco Pacific. Tang Runjiang has resigned with effect from 14 March 2016 due to change in job arrangement, informs a statement from the company. Tang Runjiang has confirmed that he has no disagreement with the Board, and there is no matter in respect of his resignation that needs to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of the Company. The Company expresses its sincere gratitude to Tang Runjiang for his valuable contributions as chief financial officer of the Company during his term of office.

Kalmar Bags 9 RTG Order for Piraeus Container Terminal

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has signed a second repeat order for additional nine all-electric rubber-tyred gantry cranes (ERTGs) with Piraeus Container Terminal (PCT) S.A. in Greece, a wholly-owned subsidiary of COSCO Pacific Limited. The deliveries are scheduled for 2016. Kalmar's previous deliveries to the terminal consisted of 12 ERTGs in 2013 and nine ERTGs in 2015. This new order will further consolidate Kalmar's relationship with the customer who operates Kalmar ERTGs, straddle carriers, reachstackers, forklift trucks, empty container handlers and terminal tractors. The zero-emission cranes, which are 9+1 wide, will help the port achieve its goal of increasing capacity while meeting all the latest environmental demands.

Kalmar Bags 9 RTGs Order from Piraeus Container Terminal

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has signed a repeat order for nine all-electric rubber-tyred gantry cranes (RTGs) with Piraeus Container Terminal (PCT) S.A. in Greece, a wholly-owned subsidiary of COSCO Pacific Limited. The cranes, four of which are the world's widest, will help the port meet its twin goals of increasing both capacity and savings. The deliveries are scheduled for 2015. This order further consolidates Kalmar's partnership with the terminal, as Mr Li Jianchun, Deputy General Manager of PCT, explains: "We currently operate Kalmar RTGs, straddle carriers, reachstackers, forklift trucks, empty container handlers and terminal tractors.

Kalmar Secures Large Order

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has signed a large order for twelve all-electric rubber tyred gantry cranes (RTGs) to Piraeus Container Terminal (PCT) SA in Greece. The cranes, scheduled for delivery in late 2013, will facilitate the port's continued expansion, with capacities planned to increase from 2.6 MTEU to 3.1 MTEU per year. The order has been booked into Cargotec's 2012 fourth quarter order intake. PCT, operating in Greece since 2009, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of COSCO Pacific Limited, a world-leading container terminal operator.
