Uncrewed Boats Are Changing the Way Wars Are Fought at Sea

When Ukraine successfully deployed self-driving “drone” boats for a major attack on the Russian navy at Sevastopol in Crimea in September 2022 it was a defining moment that changed the future of naval warfare. Coldharbour Marine Ltd. has appointed Professor Bruno Pollet to head its R&D department. Crew Systems Integration 2013 Program Announced

FRC International will host CSI 2013 - Crew Systems Integration conference from July 2-4, 2013 at RNLI Lifeboat College, Poole, U.K. The international conference includes over 20 presentations focusing on nine integrated topics for the RIB and high speed craft sector. Dr. Trevor Dobbins, Technical Director of FRC International, said, “The CSI concept brings together integrated topics which can improve RIB & HSC operations. OceanWorks Names GM for Turkish Operations

US-based subsea technology company OceanWorks International names Billy McKeown as General Manager in Istanbul, Turkey. Billy Mckeown becomes General Manager for Aykor Teknolojik Ürünler Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Ĺžirketi (OceanWorks Aykor) in Istanbul Turkey. As General Manager, his function will be to manage the organisation’s operations from the Istanbul location ensuring OceanWorks International and its new affiliate OceanWorks Aykor continue to deliver industry leading, high quality products and services to our customer base.

Loch Ness Monster? No, Prototype Wave Energy Device

Scottish marine energy technology developer, AWS Ocean Energy, has started testing its new wave energy device in Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands. The Inverness based company has deployed a 1/9th scale of its AWS-III device, a ring-shaped multi-cell surface-floating wave power system, the result of almost two years of intensive research and development work. AWS Ocean Energy is aiming to deploy a full-system prototype AWS-III during 2012 and a pre-commercial demonstrator plant during 2013.
