GasLog LNG Services Selects E-learning Solution

LNG tanker shipmanagement company GasLog LNG Services Ltd. has selected Seagull Maritime’s e-learning material & Competence Management platform for use fleet-wide, in manning offices and online, along with the Crew Evaluation System for its main office in Greece. Seagull's Software Tool for Benchmarking Seafarers Knowledge

Seagull Maritime has launched an advanced software tool able to benchmark seafarer knowledge levels, allowing shipowners and operators to compare their crew and potential recruits with industry peers. The new tool will provide shipping companies with online access to data that can help them take objective decisions on recruitment sources and identify areas where further training is required. Benchmarking establishes the standards specific industries find acceptable, in terms of products, service levels or competitive practices, then finds ways to meet or improve upon these standards. Companies use benchmarking to measure their successes and pinpoint their shortcomings.

Seagull Maritime AS debuts STA 4.0

Seagull Maritime AS has launched Seagull Training Administrator 4.0, an updated version of the shipping industry’s most widely used training administrator, in a move the company says makes computer-based packages even easier to use. Norway-based Seagull Maritime has built on customer feedback gathered over a number of years to extend and improve STA 4.0’s user workflow and functionality, and to add new functions, with the entire overhaul neatly presented via a new user interface. Seagull Launches New eLearning Titles

Maritime training provider Seagull announced the release of nine new eLearning titles. The fourth quarter release includes titles covering Electrical safety, Galley operations – nutrition, Nutrition and well-being – awareness, Electric propulsion – electrical machines, Electric propulsion – power electronics, Electric propulsion – electric propulsion systems for ships, Marine environmental awareness – sustainable shipping, Enclosed space entry – awareness and Shore based assessment. Interorient’s Crew Training Culture Strengthened by Seagull

The Norwegian marine training specialist Seagull is now the sole provider of onboard training systems to the Interorient fleet. Cyprus-headquartered Interorient employs over 300 shore-based employees and more than 1,200 seafarers on around 60 fully managed ships, including a number of predominantly ice class product tankers, containerships, roll-on roll-off  vessels and bulk carriers. The global provider of marine transportation services has used Seagull training modules since 2005, starting with Seagull’s Crew Evaluation System (CES), the computer-based assessment tool which is used to evaluate the knowledge of  seafarers as part of the company’s recruitment and promotion process, and to identify future training requirements.
