V.Group to Manage ADNOC's 93 Offshore Vessels

Ship management and services major V.Group has signed a contract with Abu Dhabi-based ADNOC Logistics & Services to provide crew management services to 93 offshore support vessels.The ship management company said that to support the contract, and to enable further expansion in the region, it has opened a new Abu Dhabi office, which began operations in early August.The office and service function was successfully delivered within a 90-day period, as part of a formal agreement between the two parties.Senior management from both companies attended an official signing ceremony at the ADNOC L&S headquarters last month, including Captain Abdulkareem Al Masabi…

V.Ships Leisure, part of V.Group, a global marine support services provider, has partnered with Mystic Cruises to provide crew management services including deck, engine, and hotel crew for the 9,300 GRT ice-classed vessel World Explorer.The vessel, which is currently under the final stages of construction at WestSea Viana Shipyard in Portugal will be delivered to Mystic Cruises in Q2 2019. Nordic American Offshore Shelves Horizon Maritime Combination

The owner and operator of platform supply vessels (PSVs) Nordic American Offshore (NAO) has informed that its project to combine with Horizon Maritime Services has been called off.A stock exchange announcement from the Bermuda-based company said: "The contemplated business combination, involving NAO and a group in Eastern Canada (Horizon Maritime), has been shelved as it has been decided not to move forward at this time."It added that a Nordic company (Nordic Canadian Shipping Ltd) was engaged in the area during the 1990s at the Cohasset Panuke oil field which ceased oil production in 1999.If the deal passes due diligence and a binding agreement is executed by 31 October…

Vallianz Shuts Singapore Yard

Singapore’s offshore-support vessel provider  Vallianz Holdings has ceased operations at its shipyard in Singapore as part of efforts to streamline business operations amidst the severe industry downturn. At the end of 2016, the group has ceased operations at its shipyard in Singapore due to the industry slowdown and discontinuation of business with a key local customer, Vallianz said in a filing with the Singapore today (Jan 6). Reforma Pemex Now Under BSM Management

Following a two-year period of plan approval and newbuild supervision services provided by Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement’s project focused business, Schulte Marine Concept, BSM's Mexico based Ship Management Centre has commenced management of Reforma Pemex, the first of two offshore ‘flotel’ accommodation vessels owned by Petroleos Mexicanos International (PMI) and chartered to the Mexican National Oil Company Petroleos Mexicanos (PEMEX). Commencing operations from the beginning of January 2017, Reforma Pemex set sail in late November from the Barrera Shipyard in Vigo, Spain en route to the Gulf of Mexico where she will host up to 700 PEMEX personnel working on offshore platform fields in the Campeche area.

V.Ships Wins Fortress Deal

V.Ships Offshore, part of V.Group has been awarded a ship management contract by Fortress Transportation and Infrastructure Investors LLC to provide full technical and crew management services for an advanced SURF/IMR vessel. The ship management services will be delivered from our newly acquired Bibby Ship Management office in Singapore led by Arvind Mohan. Nineteen specialised seafarers, with final complement subject to project requirements, are being deployed on board the 2014-built DP-3 vessel, Pride, which has been on charter in Malaysian waters.

Bibby Secures Two More Offshore Contracts

Bibby Ship Management announced it has secured two new contracts in the offshore oil and gas sector. Bibby Ship Management Singapore has been appointed as the technical and crewing managers for the OSX 2, an FPSO vessel, working in conjunction with overall project managers Tecnomar & Associates. The office has also secured a contract with Global Samson to take over the management of two Platform Supply Vessels, the newbuild Ocean Turquoise 1 and another vessel which is currently being finalized.

Sauleau Rejoins Silversea Cruises

Christian Sauleau has rejoined Silversea Cruises as executive vice president of fleet operations, overseeing marine, technical, hotel, crewing, entertainment and land programs. He reports to the company's CEO, Amerigo Perasso. Sauleau was the line's senior vice president of operations in the mid-1990s, and was instrumental in developing the award-winning company's exceptional reputation for personalized service and hospitality. He will be based in the office. Sauleau was recently the executive vice president of operations at Regent Seven Seas Cruises, where he played an integral role in the expansion of their fleet, overseeing construction of new vessels. His career also includes several years at Royal Viking Line in both shipboard and shoreside capacities.

HITS Selects AMOS for Six Ships

Humpuss Intermoda Transportasi Tbk., (HITS)  Indonesia to supply AMOS Business Suite solutions for six vessels, comprising four product tankers, a chemical tanker and a dry bulker, as well as the office site. There is an option for another seven ships, based on the successful implementation on the initial six. The project was officially kicked off June 2, 2008, and entailed a two-week Requirement Study into PT. Humpuss’s Business Processes, Work Procedures and Requirements Study for each department.

CMB Acquires 27% of Anglo-Eastern Group

CMB announces that its 100% subsidiary Bocimar Hong Kong has concluded an agreement to acquire a 27% stake in the Anglo-Eastern Group (www.angloeastern.com). The Anglo-Eastern Group primarily focuses its activities on the provision of ship management, crew management and newbuilding consultancy services. The acquisition is still subject to due diligence. CMB expects to finalise this acquisition in the course of the month of August. Through this acquisition CMB intends to establish itself in this specialised sector and secure its access to ship management and crew management services.

New Alliance Forms UOCC

United Overseas Tankers Ltd. (UOT), a General Maritime Corporation wholly-owned subsidiary, has entered into a alliance with Columbia Shipmanagement Ltd. to provide crew management services for all of General Maritime's vessels. The alliance will be named United Overseas Columbia Crewing Ltd. (UOCC) and will be responsible for such services as crew recruitment, training, payroll and quality control management. John P. Tavlarios, President and Chief Executive Officer of General Maritime Management LLC, commented, "The formation of United Overseas Columbia Crewing Ltd. is a further extension of our commitment to maintaining operational excellence.
