Capuano Joins KVH GOM Sales

To help support the growing customer base of its TracPhone V7 and mini-VSAT BroadbandSM network, KVH Industries, Inc., (Nasdaq: KVHI) has hired Cheri Capuano, a 16-year maritime satellite communications industry veteran, to manage commercial sales in the Gulf of Mexico. Capuano comes to KVH from Stratos Global, where she worked as a sales manager for 11 years. Prior to her experience at Stratos, she spent five years at CruisePhone.

SeaWave Appoints Chuck Gibson Director of sales

Wireless communications company SeaWave has appointed Chuck Gibson as director of sales. Gibson, who will be responsible for all sales in the U.S. will be based in in Coral Springs, Fla. Gibson brings to SeaWave his extensive industry experience having most recently served as a sales executive at Telenisus, a managed Internet infrastructure service provider, where he assisted customers in conducting business securely over the Internet. Prior to his accomplishments at Telenisus, he served as vice president of sales at Cruisephone, Inc. and was instrumental in driving the company to become a multi-million dollar, international maritime communications provider.

MTN Completes Purchase Agreement

Maritime Telecommunications Network (MTN), a subsidiary of ATC Teleports, has finalized a definitive Asset Purchase Agreement to attain specific assets of CruisePhone for approximately $1 million. CruisePhone, which previously filed for relief under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code, was permitted by the court to complete the sale of assets to MTN. Following a hearing, which occurred in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New York, CruisePhone is expected to transfer all of its services to MTN on June 31.
