Seanergy Maritime Holdings Completes Acquisition of M/V Fellowship

Seanergy Maritime Holdings reported  the successful completion of the previously announced sale and purchase agreements.The Greece-based  shipping company with specialization in dry bulk cargo shipping said that on November 22, 2018 the Company took delivery of the M/V Fellowship, a 179,759 deadweight ton (dwt) Capesize dry bulk vessel, built in 2010 at Daewoo Shipbuilding in South Korea.Seanergy entered into the agreement to acquire the M/V Fellowship in August 2018.Furthermore, the Company has completed the sales of two Chinese built Supramax vessels. Marcon Sells Ocean-going Tank Barge

Marcon International, Inc. of Coupeville, Washington started out the New Year right with the sale of the ocean-going, combo deck / tank barge “PCC Provider” on 3rd January to Alaskan buyers. The 5,451 mtdw, 250’ x 74’ x 19’ depth barge was specifically designed by Dixon Naval Architects and built in 1999 by CSC Jinling Shipyard in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China for transport of up to 6,200 short tons of limestone rock on deck and/or approx. 1,000,000 U.S. gallons of liquid slurry in 10 double-hull, cargo tanks with corrugated bulkheads, and fitted with agitator impellers, centerline piping and access tunnel. The double raked barge was heavily built with a 7/8” plate deck and 5/8” side & chine, and 3/8” bottom and fitted with twin towing skegs and a small push notch aft.

Supramx Ship Delivered to Seanergy

Dry Bulk shipping company Seanergy Maritime Holdings Corp. announced today the delivery of a 56,819 dwt Supramax dry bulk vessel, renamed M/V Gladiatorship.   The vessel, which was built in 2010 by CSC Jinling Shipyard, has been employed in the spot market. The acquisition cost of the M/V Premiership has been funded by a senior secured loan agreement with international financial institution and by a funding arrangement with the Company’s sponsor.     M/V Gladiatorship is the second of seven secondhand dry bulk vessels that Seanergy has agreed to acquire for a gross purchase price of approximately $183 million. The acquisition of the remaining vessels is expected to be completed by November 30, 2015.

Deltamarin Contracted for 'Titanic ll' Project Development

A full scale version of the original ship, is being designed by the Finland-based Deltamarin & will be built in China for Blue Star Line. Blue Star Line has undertaken the task of building Titanic II, a replica of the original RMS Titanic, which is scheduled to sail from Southampton to New York on her maiden passenger voyage in 2016. CSC Jinling Shipyard Collaborates with Aveva Net

Aveva announced that CSC Jinling Shipyard in Greater China has signed a new contract for Aveva Net software, upon which an integrated design information management system will be deployed. CSC Jinling Shipyard has grown over recent years, extending its operations across multiple sites. To optimize these distributed and complex operations, Aveva Net was selected to integrate information from engineering, design and enterprise resource management systems across all of its geographic locations. Using Aveva Net, CSC Jinling will benefit from more efficient design and construction, higher quality across the entire business process, and significantly reduced delivery times and costs.

Titanic Replica Tycoon Hosts New York Dinner

Australian businessman and owner of Blue Star Cruise Line, Professor Clive Palmer, hosted the black-tie event aboard the retired 'USS Intrepid'. The organizers say that the event was attended by a who’s who of world leaders, senior diplomats and major political figures, who were treated to a lavish 11-course menu, first class entertainment and the unveiling of Titanic II blueprints. Singer/songwriter Roxy Darr's rendition of the song 'My Heart Will Go On', impressed Professor Palmer to the extent that he uploaded a video of her performance onto social networking site Vimeo. Titanic ll Blueprints Unveiled

Australian mining entrepreneur Clive Palmer intends the ship to largely recreate the design and decor of the ill-fated original. The original design of the Titanic will be modified to keep it in line with current safety rules and shipbuilding practices, and the addition of some modern comforts such as air conditioning, reports the China Daily. White Star Line, the operator of the original ship, had said the Titanic was designed to be unsinkable. Some 1,500 people died on Titanic's maiden voyage in 1912 from Southampton to New York after the ship collided with an iceberg in the North Atlantic. However, Palmer, who created the company Blue Star Line last year, declined to make a similar boast.

China Shipyard Upgrades Ready to Build 'Titanic ll'

CSC Jinling Shipyard Co Ltd in Nanjing is to build a replica for Blue Star Line of the liner that notoriously sank in 1912. The project, which will take the state-owned CSC Jinling Shipyard Co Ltd in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, three years to complete, is financed by Australian billionaire Clive Palmer, China Daily reported. Plans call for the Titanic II to make its maiden voyage from England to the United States in 2016 with 900 crew members and 2,400 passengers, following the trans-Atlantic track of the original Titanic. Deltamarin Wins Ship Design Order

The latest additions are for a series of three firm ships plus options of B.Delta37 design as open hatch general cargo ship, which will be built at the Chinese CSC Jinling Shipyard. This will bring the number of firm B.Delta37 newbuilding orders to 21 units and the total number of newbuilding orders of different types of B.Delta designs to 38 for various shipowners. These about 38,300 tdw general cargo carriers have been ordered by the German shipowner Oldendorff Carriers GmbH & Co. The design is an amended version of the standard B.Delta37 design into an open hatch configuration. It features 40 tons SWL electro-hydraulic cranes, ice class 1C and is fully logsfitted. Cargo capacity 48,500 cu. Deadweight 38,300 metric tons at 10.5 m scantling draught.

China Shipyard Contracted to Build Four Bulk Carriers

China's CSC Jinling Shipyard inks contract with Singapore's Asia Pacific Shipping Enterprises for four 64,000-dwt bulk carriers Asia Pacific Shipping Enterprises, is the shipping subsidiary of Queensland Nickel Group, owned by Australian magnate Clive Palmer. Jinling Shipyard say the four vessels will use new ship designs made for nickel ore transportation. The newbuildings are upgraded to conform to recent global environmental regulations, and will be capable of a speed of 14.4 knots with only 24.9-ton fuel consumption per day. Dimensions of the four ships are to be: 199.9m in length, 32.26m in breadth and 18.5m in height. Meanwhile, Palmer Group is proceeding with the Titanic Ⅱ project at the same shipyard.

The Titanic II Preliminary General Arrangement Plan and Preliminary Midship Section Drawing depicts nine decks complete with first, second and third class, officer and crew accommodation as well as the insertion of a new ‘Safety Deck’. Chairman of Blue Star Line, Professor Clive Palmer, indicated the plans from Deltamarin for his shipping company Blue Star Line represent a significant milestone for the Titanic II project. “These plans underline the commitment and progression Blue Star Line has for the Titanic II project,” he said.

Titanic Replica Planned by Australian Billionaire

Palmer has signed a first-stage agreement with Nanjing- based CSC Jinling Shipyard to build the ship as part of a planned fleet of luxury liners, according to a Bloomberg news report. The ship will have the same dimensions as the original Titanic, with 840 rooms on nine decks as well as gymnasiums, swimming pools, libraries and restaurants. A historical research team had started design work on the ship, which would also include an exhibition room in place of the original's coal boilers to showcase Queensland and its abundance of opportunities.
