ZIM Seven Stars Express Service to Add a Kaohsiung Call

ZIM is pleased to announce that starting November 2017, ZIM’s popular Seven Stars Express Service (Z7S) will add a call in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, offering unique advantages to customers, said a company press release. The service includes: Direct access to New York Maher terminal, Unique product linking Kaohsiung and Wilmington, NC, Fast transit time from Wilmington and Savannah; A premium product for USA exports to Taiwan, Calling Terminal 5, Pier 77/78 in Kaohsiung, for easy access from main manufacturing areas and End of the week departure from Kaohsiung. The first vessel to call Kaohsiung on the new rotation is Zim Ontario on Nov 3, 2017. ZIM Seven Stars Express Service deploys 11X5000TEU vessels operated solely by ZIM, ensuring high schedule reliability and punctuality.

APL Increases Port Calls Of Asia Latin America Service

The  ocean carrier APL has announced three additional ports of call for the weekly Asia Latin America Service (ALX). Including Callao, Da Chan Bay and Valparaiso, the expanded ALX service will offer a more comprehensive coverage across Asia, Manzanillo in Mexico, and South America west coast. “Export manufacturers from Asia, in particular those from the Pearl River Delta can expect to exploit a larger market coverage in the Americas via the direct service of ALX from Asia to South America west coast. As the service facilitates access to Central America via Manzanillo in Mexico where transshipment options are available, the extended port calls to Callao in Peru as well as Valparaiso in Chile will enable route to these Latin America markets…

Zim Improves Asia-Mediterranean Loops

The Israeli ocean carrier Zim Integrated Shipping Services is upgrading its Asia-Mediterranean service network, comprising the East Med-Black Sea Express, or EMX, and the Asia-India Subcontinent East Med, or AME, by adding new port calls and upsizing tonnage deployment. The upgraded its Asia-Med Services  due to commence in mid-October 2015. The improved rotation will include extended port coverage, two weekly calls in Haifa and Ashdod and other improvements suited to the needs of the Asia-Med market. Rafael Ben-Ari, ZIM’s VP of Shipping, commented, “We are pleased to upgrade our Asia-Med Services with faster transit times and greater port coverage.

Zim Offers Asia-US east coast service via Suez

Israeli liner carrier Zim Integrated Shipping Services is launching a new service between Asia and the U.S. East Coast via the Suez Canal at the end of May. The 10-ship loop will call in South China, Vietnam, Colombo, New York, Savannah and Norfolk, and is designed to provide fast transit from Asia to New York. The new service, which ZIM has dubbed the Seven Star Express (Z7S), will commence May 29 with a rotation of Da Chan Bay, Yantian, Cai Mep, Singapore, Colombo, New York, Savannah, Norfolk, Singapore, and Da Chan Bay. ZIM, which will operate the service completely with its own vessels, will deploy 10 ships with capacity between 5,000 TEUs and 6,500 TEUs on a weekly schedule.

Dangerous Goods Restriction in South China Outports

In view of the forthcoming China National Day Holiday from October 1 - 7, 2014 please be informed that operation restrictions will be in place for import shipments to South China (including Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan and Yunnan Province). Import operations remain unchanged for Shenzhen ports including Yantian, Shekou, Chiwan and Da Chan Bay. Please note that should any demurrage and/or detention charges be incurred at the transshipment port due to the restrictions during the China National Day Holiday period, the applicable fees will be on the account of the cargo.

China Shenzen Container Terminal Adopts Navis N4 TOS

Navis say that container terminal operators Modern Terminals Limited has gone live on the Navis N4 terminal operating system (TOS) at Da Chan Bay Terminal One (DCB), located in Shenzhen, China. N4 is Navis’ latest generation TOS, allowing customers the flexibility and scalability needed to run their operations - from a single terminal to multiple terminals spanning numerous geographic locations managed from one central location. The implementation of N4 enables Modern Terminals to automate and standardize operational processes, including equipment and yard operations, to ensure the best customer service offering that is aligned with the company’s brand promises.

G6 Alliance Announces Port Rotations

After agreeing to expand the successful G6 Alliance to the transpacific trade earlier this year, the six member lines announced the port rotations of their new comprehensive and competitive service portfolio. The new expanded cooperation will start in May with six coordinated services in the Asia-to-North America East Coast trade. MOL Revamps NKX India-Karachi Service

ROTTERDAM, 27 April 2011 – Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President: Koichi Muto) announced the upgrading of its Singapore-Nhava Sheva-Karachi Service (NKX) into two new loops: “NCX” linking China and Nhava Sheva, and KPX connecting Singapore with Pipavav and Karachi. NCX will be MOL’s first direct service linking Shanghai and Shenzhen, China, and Nhava Sheva on India’s west coast. With NCX, MOL will enhance its service network by offering stable and high-quality direct service to meet rapid growth in the Chinese and Indian markets.
