Dachser USA Names New Director of Ocean Freight

Dachser Transport of America Inc. (Dachser USA), the U.S. division of one of the world's leading global logistics service providers, today announced it has appointed John Barbasetti di Prun Director of Ocean Freight for the United States. In his new role, Mr. Barbasetti di Prun will oversee all ocean freight forwarding operations for Dachser USA's growing client base. Dachser has recorded very strong growth in the United States, with sales increasing to more than US$108 million last year. U.S. companies are attracted to Dachser's extensive international logistics network backed by strong management experience and a family-based approach to the business.

Dachser Sees Expansion of U.S. Exports to China

Atlanta - Dachser Transport of America Inc. released a statement from the managing director of Dachser Far East Ltd. concerning trade patterns between the United States and China. "We have seen some sluggishness during the last six months, but the U.S. economy is showing positive signs of recovery, and China is forecasting 7.5 percent growth in its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2012," said Edoardo Podestá, Managing Director, Dachser Far East Limited. "China's imports have grown significantly during the last five years, driven by consumer demand, and there has been a corresponding increase in imported goods from the U.S. Dachser continues to make significant investment in its network of offices in the U.S.

Dachser to Open New Office in the Netherlands

Dachser Transport of America Inc. announced that parent company Dachser has started construction of a new branch office in Zevenaar, the Netherlands, to accommodate soaring volume. The facility is expected to start operations this summer and will be one of Dachser's largest branch offices in Europe. The approximately 325,000-square-foot logistics complex is being built in multiple stages on a site of more than 20 acres. With the new complex, Dachser is able to further expand the global reach of their warehousing and contract logistics activities and increase access to worldwide markets.
