Fairbanks Morse Defense Acquires Samtan Engineering Corporation

Fairbanks Morse Defense (FMD), a portfolio company of Arcline Investment Management, has acquired single-source metalworking supplier Samtan Engineering Corporation based in Malden, Mass. Samtan’s metalworking services expand FMD’s portfolio with shearing, punching, forming, machining, fabrication and assembly capabilities.“Our acquisition of Samtan Engineering Corporation allows Fairbanks Morse Defense to continue delivering value far beyond the cost of our services through the seamless integration of metal-stamped products and machine shop services,” said FMD CEO George Whittier.

Esgian has published its Week 49 Rig Market Roundup highlighting new drilling activity in the North Sea and a new licensing deal in Morocco.Drilling Activity and DiscoveriesSerica Energy is continuing with plans for its four-well drilling campaign in the UK North Sea, scheduled for 2024 and early 2025. The campaign will be carried out using the semisubmersible COSLInnovator. All four wells are production wells. The first well in the campaign will be a sidetrack of an existing well (B1z) on the Bittern field.

Families Want More Details on Gulf Livestock 1 Capsize

Brennan Buys IAI's Dredging and Dewatering Division

Specialty marine contractor J.F. Brennan Company, Inc. announced it has finalized a deal to acquire the assets of Infrastructure Alternatives, Inc.'s (IAI) dredging and dewatering division, effective February 1, 2023.La Crosse, Wis.-headquartered Brennan said environmental services account for 50% of Brennan’s work, and that the purchase brings dewatering, water treatment and treatability testing services into the organization for the first time.“We are excited for IAI’s specialists to join the Brennan family,” said Greg Smith, Brennan’s vice president of environmental services.

Danish offshore vessel owner Esvagt has informed that its Esvagt Dana vessel has returned back to the Baltic 2 offshore wind farm in Germany to support wind turbine maker Siemens Gamesa during maintenance work.For the next three to six months, the ’Esvagt Dana’ will connect its gangway system to the offshore wind turbines in the 288MW Baltic 2 wind farm. Ocean Installer Bags Triton Gig from Dana

Aberdeen-based Oil and gas company Dana Petroleum has awarded Norway's Ocean Installer a contract for work at the Triton Area Development, located in the Central North Sea, around 190 km east of Aberdeen.According to a press release, the award, which is Ocean Installer’s first with Dana, involves the installation and trenching of a 12” Flexible Production Flowline at the Guillemot field.The project will be executed by Ocean Installer’s office in Aberdeen, with engineering work beginning immediately and offshore operations scheduled for Q2 2020. A dredge barge that was taking on water has been intentionally grounded in the Matagorda Ship Channel near Port Lavaca, Texas, the U.S. Coast Guard said.The Coast Guard said its watchstanders at Sector/Air Station Corpus Christi were notified on Monday evening that the dredge barge Everett Fisher began taking on water. The towing vessel Dana Robyn pushed the bareg aground and recovered the four crewmembers aboard.No injuries or pollution have been reported.Coast Guard air and boat crews are on scene.
