Norsea Group Makes Long-term UK Commitment

NorSea Group (UK) Limited is making a major, long-term commitment to the UK with the announcement that it will take over operatorship of Smith Quay and Embankment at Peterhead on a 10-year agreement as of September 1. NorSea Group also has a 15-year lease at South Quay in Montrose and a long term agreement with Scrabster Harbour Trust. John Wallace, CEO at Peterhead Port Authority is delighted to welcome NorSea Group to the Port given their profile within the industry, personnel and resources. ‘We built up a strong portfolio of clients at the Smith Quay base, but it became apparent that we needed a professionally focused and integrated company such as NorSea Group to continue the success and provide the level of service expected at Peterhead, to grow this business further.

WWH Increases Stake in NorSea Group

Wilh. Wilhelmsen Holding Invest AS (WWHI), a fully owned subsidiary of Wilh. Wilhelmsen Holding ASA (WWH), informs it hs raised its shareholding in NorSea Group AS (NSG) from 35.4% to 40%. The share increase follows a share issue in the company whereby NSG buys Danbor AS from A.P. Møller Mærsk AS. “Increasing our shareholding in NSG is a natural part of our strategic ambition to broaden our exposure in the energy, offshore and maritime industry, supplementing activities Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA and Wilhelmsen Maritimes Services,” says Nils P Dyvik, group CFO in WWH.

NorSea Group Buys Danbor from Mærsk

NorSea Group is said it taking a major step forward in its international involvement by purchasing the Danish base and logistics company Danbor AS. In addition to enhancing the global presence of NorSea Group, Danbor will boost the company’s capability in the wind power market. “International expansion is part of NorSea Group’s expressed strategy. Danbor is a solid company which is well-established in our core activity field and fits in well with the rest of the NorSea Group family,” said John Stangeland, CEO of NorSea Group.

NorSea Group Adds U.K. GM

Kim Christensen, NorSea’s new General Manager in the U.K.

NorSea Group, a supplier of base services and integrated logistics systems to the oil and gas industry in Norway, appointed Kim Christensen as its first U.K. General Manager to lead the group’s future developments in Scotland. Mr. Christensen will head up NorSea Group (U.K.) Ltd, a new company within the Group, which has been established to reinforce the Group’s commitment to enhance its business activity in the U.K. To support this, NorSea Group will open its first U.K. office in Aberdeen.
