Elektrans, CST & Marine Service to establish Chemtrans

Elektrans Group has joined hands with German tank operator Chemikalien Seetransport (CST) and the consultancy and engineering company Marine Service GmbH to establish a joint venture -- Chemtrans India Pvt Ltd. "Elektran Group and a company affiliated to the reputed German tanker operator Chemikalien Seetransport GmbH (CST) and the consultancy and engineering company Marine Service GmbH are pleased to announce that they have concluded a joint venture agreement to set up 'Chemtrans India Private Limited," Elektrans group said in a statement. An agreement setting gears in motion was signed by Daniel Chopra (Executive Chairman, Elektrans Group) and Christian Krämer (Managing Director, CST) in New Delhi, India.

Thome J/V Aims to Increase Pool of Indian Ship's Officers

Thome Ship Management of Singapore inks a joint venture partnership with Doehle Danautic, a leading shipping service provider in India. In what is to be seen as a significant further step into India for Thome Ship Management, the group is joining with Doehle Danautic to expand the pool of Indian officers for its tanker, drybulk and offshore fleets reaffirming its long-term commitment to India as a future maritime sourcing hub for qualified Indian officers for worldwide trading. The main driver is to build up the partnership with Doehle Danautic to provide well trained, professional officers for Thome's tanker and drybulk fleets in parallel to its officers provided by existing manning agency relations in India and Sri Lanka.
