Oil and gas company Noreco on Thursday announced the sailaway of the new Tyra II process module (the "TEG"), 10.15am local time, from Batam, Indonesia and bound for the TotalEnergies-operated Tyra gas field redevelopment project in the Danish North Sea.The process module was fabricated at the McDermott yard in Batam by McDermott and TotalEnergies, and the heavy transport vessel GPO Emerald will sail the 17,000 metric tons unit to the Tyra field in the Danish North Sea, a voyage of 8,700 miles taking approximately one month.

Shore Power On, Engines Off for Heerema's Giant Crane Vessels Sleipnir and Thialf

Singapore's offshore platform constructor Sembcorp Marine has completed the fabrication of two wellhead topsides, one riser topside, and two bridges for deployment at TotalEnergies’ Tyra field redevelopment in the Danish North Sea.The topsides and bridges sailed away from Sembcorp Marine Admiralty Yard Sunday. Total Extends Havila PSV Charters in Denmark

Norwegian offshore vessel operator Havila Shipping has won contract extensions for two of its platform supply vessels with Total in Denmark.Havila said Monday that Total DK, a Danish subsidiary of the French oil major Total, had declared extension options for the contracts for the 2010-built Havila Fanø and 2009-built Havila Herøy offshore vessels.Total DK has declared options for three months from June 1, 2021, for the two platform supply vessels and has options for further extensions for 4x1 months for each vessel.  According to AIS data, the 80,4-meter-long Havila Herøy is currently in the Danish North Sea, serving Danish oilfields. The Havila Fano is in the Port of Esbjerg.

DNV GL Wins Baltic Pipe Project

The international oil & gas advisory and classification society DNV GL has won a major contract to provide independent verification services for the Danish transmission system operator Energinet’s section of the Baltic Pipe project, offshore Denmark.The Baltic Pipe project aims to enable the transport of gas from Norway from a tie-in to the existing Europipe II in the Danish North Sea to the export facility in Zealand. The pipeline in the Baltic Sea towards Poland is not included in the contract. The Baltic Pipe project is planned to be fully operational by 1 October 2022.DNV GL’s contract scope includes independent verification and submarine pipeline certification to the DNV GL certification regime DNVGL-SE-0475.

Maersk Supply Service Wins Total Contract

Maersk Supply Service said it has fixed the newbuild subsea support vessels vessel (SSV) Maersk Involver for 161 days to support maintenance of the DAN F platform located offshore Esbjerg for walk-to-walk and accommodation services. Maersk Drilling Bags 2 North Sea Contract Extensions

Maersk Drilling has been awarded contract extensions for the high-efficiency jack-up rigs Maersk Resolute and Maersk Resolve by Petrogas E&P Netherlands B.V. and Wintershall Noordzee B.V., respectively. The extensions allow the two rigs to continue their high-performance operations in the North Sea. Maersk Resolute has been awarded a 56-day contract extension by Petrogas E&P Netherlands B.V., continuing its work in the Dutch Sector of the North Sea where it has drilled multiple wells since commencing operations in June 2017. During the campaign, Maersk Resolute has drilled the shallowest horizontal gas well in the A&B area, something Petrogas has noted as a great achievement while also praising the high operational standard of Maersk Resolute.

Maersk Oil, Partners Approve USD 3.2bln Tyra Gas Project

Maersk Oil has announced that the Danish Underground Consortium (DUC) has approved an investment of approximately 21bn DKK in the full redevelopment of the Tyra gas field. The announcement follows the Danish Parliament’s approval to implement legislation to secure the investment. The redevelopment of Tyra ensures continued production from Denmark’s largest gas field, and will protect and rejuvenate important Danish North Sea infrastructure. Today’s announcement represents the largest oil and gas project investment ever made in the Danish North Sea, enabling Tyra to continue operations for at least 25 years. At peak production, the redeveloped Tyra gas field will provide enough gas to supply 1.5 million Danish homes…

Maersk -Tyra Decommissioning to Start Next Year

Maersk Oil has on 30th December issued a notification to the Danish gas market announcing that an economically viable solution for full recovery of the remaining resources in the Tyra field has not yet been identified, and that production from the Tyra field is consequently expected to cease 1 October 2018. Under EU regulatory requirements, a decision impacting production must be notified to the market in a timely manner. “Tyra has since 1984 been the main hub for gas production and processing in the Danish North Sea. The Tyra facilities are approaching the end of their operational life, and together with our partners in DUC we have assessed solutions for safe decommissioning and possible rebuilding of the Tyra facilities,” says Martin Rune Pedersen, Chief Operating Officer, Maersk Oil.

Maersk to Shut Down Denmark's Largest Gas Field

Maersk Oil said that production from the Tyra field was likely to cease in 2018 as efforts to find an “economically viable solution” for full recovery had not been found. Offshore Platform 'Siri' for Repair Despite Cost Increase

Dong Energy is implementing a permanent repair solution necessary to restore the integrity of the Danish North Sea platform Siri. The background for the repair work is that DONG Energy during a routine inspection in August 2009 discovered cracks in the nose of the subsea oil tank of the Siri platform. No pollution happened but the production was shut down for five months as a safety measure and re-started January 2010 after a temporary solution had been installed. Following the progress of the project, the repair cost estimate has been increased from the initial expected DKK 2 billion to DKK 3.5 billion of which DKK 0.6 billion was incurred in 2011.

A.P. Moeller Hopes To Maintain 2001 Oil Production

Oil and shipping group A.P. Moeller said it hoped to maintain its record North Sea oil production in 2001 at 300,000 barrels per day (bpd). Danish Underground Consortium (DUC), in which A.P. Moeller holds a 39 percent stake, produced 1.275 million tons of oil in 2000, 10.1 percent above 1999 level, while gas production was down 3.5 percent at 6.401 billion cu. "Oil production in 2000 was in line with expectations. We hope to maintain the current production of 300,000 bpd, but it's an ambitious target," Maersk Oil & Gas deputy director Bo Wildfang told Reuters. A.P. Moller had expected its oil and gas production in 2000 to end "a little higher" than in 1999.
