Krill Expands Energy Monitoring Lineup

Krill Systems Inc. said it has completed its phase 2 product development cycle with the recently introduced Krill Regasification Monitoring Center (KRMC). Krill identified this phase of its business plan as the ability to supply a comprehensive range of energy monitoring products which deliver solutions to many the aspects demanded by the oil and gas industry to control energy operating costs. Amarcon Receives Subsea 7 Order

The seabed-to-surface engineering, construction and services contractor to the offshore energy industry Subsea 7 has ordered the OCTOPUS suite of products for the recently delivered Pipelay/Heavy Lift vessel Seven Borealis. This latest addition to the Subsea 7 fleet is a state-of-the-art vessel that shall be involved in ultra-deep and deepwater projects in the world’s deepest and harshest environments. Amarcon is appointed to deliver a motion monitoring and ship response forecast system, known in the industry as OCTOPUS-Onboard. The order for Subsea 7 is a very extensive one.

Success For Transas VTS In Taiwan

Transas Marine Pacific in cooperation with its Taiwanese agent, Seven Seas Electronic, has won an order for another Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) system in Taiwan. This order follows the first installation of a Navi-Traffic solution in the Port of Keelung in 1997. The tender was called, during the summer 2001, by Ho-Ping, which is a private port on the northeast coast of the country. Port construction works are nearing completion and the new port facilities will commence operating in early 2002. The VTS system in Ho-Ping will be the Navi-Harbour 3000 incorporating S- and X-band radars, a double-screen operator workstation, synchronous multi-channel audio recorder PC and a customized VTS database server.

KMSS to Launch New Operating Station

Kongsberg Maritime Ship Systems (KMSS) is preparing to launch the new and innovative Midi Operator Station (MOS) on 1st January 2003. The MOS acts as an interface/operator station for process control indication and operation, and can be easily installed almost anywhere on a vessel. Acting as a fully integrated and self-contained operator station, the MOS allows for immediate access to the functions of the Datachief C20 Remote Operator Station (ROS) within the process areas of a ship such as the engine or switchboard room. Built to withstand extreme pressures, it’s possible to actually mount the MOS on items such as engines and compressors, for easy and regular access.
