Ingalls Shipbuilding Names Blanchette VP of Quality and Engineering
America's largest military shipbuilder Huntington Ingalls Industries announced Thursday that Brian Blanchette has been promoted to vice president of quality and engineering of its Ingalls Shipbuilding division.Blanchette will be responsible for the management and oversight of the division’s quality program as well as all ship design, engineering, integrated logistics support and planning yard engineering efforts at the Pascagoula, Miss. shipyard. Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) recognized 39 shipbuilders from its Gulf Coast facilities for their significant accomplishments supporting quality and continuous improvement at an awards dinner on Thursday, Oct. 7 in Gulfport, Miss. The General Manager's Award for Excellence recognizes extraordinary performance and outstanding contributions in the areas of innovation and technology, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. This award is the highest honor bestowed at Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding Gulf Coast operations and recognizes employees whose achievements support Northrop Grumman values, best practices, collaboration, value creation, and process excellence, in addition to aligning with the company's strategic priorities.
