MMA Offshore Expands Fleet with 2016-Built Vessel "Offshore Solution"

Australian offshore vessel operator MMA Offshore has acquired the vessel “Offshore Solution” to supplement its multi-purpose support vessel fleet. The Offshore Solution is a 2016 European-built, 54-meter, DP-2 multi-purpose support vessel fitted with two deck cranes, dual moon pools, and accommodation for 42 people. MMA Offshore's Vessel Trio Nets Offshore Wind Contracts in Taiwan

Australian offshore support vessel owner MMA Offshore said Friday it had secured three contracts supporting offshore wind farm developments in Taiwan during 2023.The three contracts, with firm periods totaling 370 days, will increase the company’s contracted revenue by a total of approximately A$30 million (currently USD 20,2 million) and could provide additional revenue of approximately $15 million from 180 days in additional option periods.In March 2023, MMA Pinnacle vessel will mobilize from Singapore to Taiwan to support Seaway 7 on a wind farm development project.

MMA Offshore Sells Batam Shipyard

MMA Offshore to Support Beach Energy Operations in Bass Strait, Australia

Australian offshore vessel owner MMA Offshore has secured a vessel contract with the oil and gas company Beach Energy.The MMA Coral will provide vessel support to Beach Energy’s two production platforms located in the Bass Strait, offshore Australia. The vessel will also provide subsea inspection and survey services and will support planned drilling operations.Starting in late November 2022, the contract is for a firm period of one year with an additional one-year option. Fortescue Future Industries Buys PSV from MMA Offshore for Green Ammonia Conversion

Australian offshore vessel owner MMA Offshore has completed the sale of the vessel “MMA Leveque” to a subsidiary of Fortescue Future Industries (“FFI”) for US$7.75M.FFI plans to convert the 74.87 meters long platform supply vessel to dual fuel with the objective of operating almost totally on green ammonia.

Australia's MMA Offshore Scores Offshore Wind Hat-trick in Taiwan

Australian offshore vessel operator MMA Offshore has secured three new contracts in the offshore wind market in Taiwan.The contracts are for the vessels MMA Pride, MMA Crystal, and MMA Responder."These three contracts, with firm periods totaling 270 days, increase the Company’s contracted revenue by an aggregate total of approximately A$7.0 million. New Contracts, Extensions for MMA Offshore

MMA Offshore, the provider of marine solutions and expertise to the offshore oil and gas industry, has been awarded a number of new contract awards and extensions.AGR Australia has awarded MMA a two-vessel contract supporting the Noble Tom Prosser Rig as part of the Victorian government’s CarbonNet Project, said the Australian company.The contract is expected to start late this month with a duration of about 45 days, the owner and operator of 30+ offshore supply vessels said.Esso Australia Pty Ltd has awarded MMA a three-vessel contract, also supporting the Noble Tom Prosser Rig and commencing in direct continuation of the AGR contract.

U.S. Natgas Engine Sales Lagging Fuel's Steep Price Plunge

Natural gas-fueled engines, touted as a clean, low-cost alternative to diesel, continue to struggle for acceptance in the U.S. transportation sector despite a surge in gas production that has sent the alternative fuel's domestic price plunging. U.S. natural gas prices closed on Friday at $3.766 per million British thermal units, down 42 percent since February. At its current levels, natgas is about $1.50 a gallon cheaper than diesel fuel, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. For U.S. railroads alone, which consumed 3.6 billion gallons of diesel in 2012, the potential savings are huge. All in the Family

Just when you think there is no longer the “follow in your footsteps” career path, Burger has seen the opposite trend. At this moment, there are 15 father/son teams, four sibling pairings and two husband/wife teams. Clearly the phase, “It’s in the blood” holds true. In looking beyond the current father/son combination, in several cases, their father, grandfather and great grandfather all had lifelong careers at Burger Boat Company. Burger Boat Company Collaborates with Bentley

A collaboration was formed between Burger Boat Company – Monaco, Bentley-Cannes and HMS, audio visual systems to host a luxury brand Captain’s Happy Hour reception. The event drew nearly 70 guests who were entertained in the Bentley Automobile Showroom. Through the high tech world of HMS and their genius web rigging, attendees were able to view a live virtual tour of the new state-of-the-art Burger Shipyard in Manitowoc with President and CEO of Burger Boat Company, David Ross. “This reception gave us a unique opportunity to showcase our shipyard, the six yacht projects currently underway and share the spirit of Burger via live, real-time internet from halfway around the world,” states Ross.

Feature: Burger Set to Launch 3 Megayachts

Burger Boat Company, whose roots extend back to when Abraham Lincoln was President, is set to launch three megayachts during the second half of 2003. The company builds aluminum motor yachts in the 82 to 165 ft. range at prices from $5 million and up. The largest motor yacht yet built by Burger is set for a June 14 launch. Called the Sis W, the vessel is owned by Charles R. Walgreen Jr., the 95-year old owner of the Walgreen Drug Store chain. At 95, Mr. Walgreen, has purchased his fourth Burger yacht and plans to cruise extensively in his new yacht, just the prescription for a man with his zest for living. In later summer, Burger will deliver the Top Times, a 112-ft. full displacement yacht of the expedition design, built for worldwide cruising.
