Cobham Launches 'Next-gen' Antenna Platform

The SAILOR 1000 XTR Ku is the first of a new generation of software-controlled antenna systems in the Cobham SATCOM new SAILOR XTRTM antenna platform line.SAILOR XTRTM integrates SAILOR VSAT technology into a new platform with new software and electronic capabilities that prepare it to operate in future satellite constellations in LEO, MEO, GEO and HEO orbits. The one-meter antenna has a new simplified and robust pedestal for better antenna performance and easier and simpler conversion between Ku- and Ka-bands.SAILOR XTRTM is prepared for the Internet of Things.

FleetBroadband 150 (FB150) was developed for the leisure, fishing, coastal merchant and small defense vessel markets. Xantic Enables P&O Nedlloyd to Upgrade at Low Cost

P&O Nedlloyd Container Line is the world's third largest container shipping company, operating 157 vessels, a cumulative 407,000 tons on 84 routes with 235 direct call ports. With a fleet this massive and the growing need to communicate with ships, P&O Nedlloyd was expecting an increase in the volume of data transfers to and from its vessels.
