Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M) through its subsidiary in Azerbaijan, Caspian Shipyard Company (CSC), is on track to deliver a semisubmersible drilling rig to Caspian Drilling Company Ltd, a subsidiary of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR). The rig was named Heydar Aliyev at a ceremony in Azerbaijan today by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. Built to Keppel FELS' proprietary DSSTM 38M design, the rig has been customized for the Caspian Sea's harsh environment condition. It is the first modern semisubmersible to be almost completely built in Azerbaijan.

Keppel FELS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M) has delivered Floatel Triumph, a fifth high-specification accommodation semisubmersible (semi), to Floatel International Ltd (Floatel). The semi, which is built to Keppel's proprietary SSAUTM5000NG design, will be chartered by Chevron Corporation for work in the Wheatstone field in Western Australia. Floatel Triumph is scheduled to arrive on location in mid-October 2016. Thereafter, it will work for INPEX Operations Australia in Ichthys Field, off Western Australia.

Keppel FELS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M) is on track to deliver a fifth high-specification accommodation semisubmersible (semi) to Floatel International Ltd (Floatel) on time, on budget and with a perfect safety record. The semi, which is built to Keppel's proprietary SSAUTM 5000NG design, was named Floatel Triumph during a ceremony held earlier today. It will be chartered by INPEX Operations Australia for work in Ichthys Field, off Western Australia. Mr Wong Kok Seng, Managing Director of Keppel O&M (Offshore) and Keppel FELS, said, "We are pleased to deliver a fifth accommodation vessel to Floatel safely, on time and on budget.

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS) celebrated the naming of their third consecutive accommodation semisubmersible (semi) rig built for Floatel International Ltd (Floatel). The rig will be delivered more than four months ahead of schedule and within budget. The rig was named Floatel Victory on November 19, 2013 at Keppel FELS and will be chartered to Chevron for work in the Gulf of Mexico and BP in the West Shetlands. The first two accommodation semis – Floatel Superior and Floatel Reliance – which Keppel FELS had built for Floatel, were delivered in 2010 to the same high standards of execution.

Keppel FELS Ltd’s (Keppel FELS) innovative and harsh environment accommodation semisubmersible design, DSS 20NS ,was conferred the IES Prestigious Engineering Achievement Award 2013 by the Institute of Engineers Singapore (IES) at the World Engineers Summit Gala Dinner and Award Presentation, held in Singapore on 13 September 2013. Guest of Honour of the event, Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Singapore’s Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, presented the award to Keppel FELS.

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd. (Keppel O&M) through its subsidiaries Caspian Rigbuilders BV (an affiliated company of Keppel FELS) and Caspian Shipyard Company (CSC), has secured a contract from Caspian Drilling Company Ltd., a subsidiary of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), to build a semisubmersible drilling rig, which includes owner furnished equipment, worth about $800 million. Scheduled for delivery in 4Q 2016, the rig will be built to Keppel FELS' proprietary DSSTM 38M design, which has been customised for the Caspian Sea's harsh environment condition. The DSSTM 38M is designed for a drilling depth of up to 40,000ft and operations in 1,000m water depth.

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), has signed a contract with Ukraine's National Joint-Stock Company "Naftogaz of Ukraine" (Naftogaz), to construct two semisubmersible drilling rigs worth about US$1.2 billion. The contract will be effective upon final corporate approvals. This follows an earlier announcement made on 21 November 2012 in relation to Keppel FELS being selected as winner of the tender to construct the two semisubmersible drilling rigs. The rigs will be built to Keppel FELS' proprietary DSSTM 38U design which is customised for the Black Sea environment. The harsh weather conditions of the Black Sea include extreme freezing temperatures, storms with strong winds and heavy seas.

Keppel and Floatel sign contract for a fourth accommodation semi at US$ 315-million. Keppel FELS Limited and Floatel International Ltd (Floatel) have finalised a contract for Keppel FELS to build a new generation harsh environment accommodation semisubmersible. With delivery in early 2015, the new semi will be built to the Floatel Superior design, a DSSTM 20NS design developed by GustoMSC and Keppel FELS' Deepwater Technology Group. Equipped with Dynamic Positioning (DP) 3 capability, it will meet the most stringent rules and regulations for worldwide operations including the Norwegian Sector.

The offshore industry, and specifically Brazil, continue to be a driver for maritime markets, as Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), through its subsidiary Fernvale Pte. Ltd., signed contracts with Sete Brasil Participações S.A. (Sete Brasil), for the design and construction of five additional semisubmersible (semi) drilling rigs for approximately $4.1b, following the Letter of Intent announced in April 2012. The five semis will be based on Keppel's DSSTM 38E design, which has improved capability and operability, making it well suited to meet the stringent requirements of the deepwater "Golden Triangle" region of Brazil, Africa and the Gulf of Mexico. The semis are scheduled for delivery in 4Q 2016, 3Q 2017, 2Q 2018, 4Q 2018, and 3Q 2019 respectively.

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS) has entered into a Letter of Intent (LOI) with returning customer Floatel International Ltd (Floatel), to build a new generation harsh environment semisubmersible (semi) worth $315 million for delivery in July, 2014. This will be Floatel's fourth accommodation semi with Keppel FELS after the delivery of Floatel Superior and Floatel Reliance in 2010 and the order of Floatel Victory in 2011. The new semi will be based on the Floatel Superior design, a DSSTM 20NS design developed by GustoMSC and Keppel FELS' Deepwater Technology Group. Equipped with Dynamic Positioning (DP) 3 capability, it will meet the most stringent rules and regulations for worldwide operations including the Norwegian Sector.

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), through its subsidiary Fernvale Pte. Ltd., has secured a contract worth approximately $809m from Urca Drilling B.V., a subsidiary of Sete Brasil Participações S.A. (Sete Brasil), for the design and construction of a semisubmersible (semi) drilling rig based on Keppel's proprietary DSSTM 38E design. The DSSTM 38E is an enhancement of Keppel's proven fifth generation deepwater solution, the DSSTM 38. With improved capability and operability, it is designed to meet the stringent requirements of the deepwater "Golden Triangle" region, comprising Brazil, Africa and the Gulf of Mexico. Scheduled for delivery in 4Q 2015, the rig is intended to support the exploration of Brazil's estimated 50 billion barrels of deep-sea oil and gas reserves1.

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS) has been awarded a contract worth about US$260 million by returning customer, Floatel International Ltd (Floatel), to build a new generation accommodation semisubmersible (semi) for delivery in 1Q 2014. This new rig developed by Keppel O&M's Deepwater Technology Group, will be built to the SSAU4000NG design with Dynamic Positioning (DP) 3 capability. It marks Keppel FELS' third accommodation semi project with Floatel, after the delivery of Floatel Reliance (SSAUTM 3600 with DP2) and Floatel Superior (DSSTM 20NS with DP3) last year. The SSAU4000NG is an enhancement of the proven SSAUTM 3600 design, with improved capability and operability.

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS) has been awarded a $142 million contract by Seadrill to build a repeat semisubmersible drilling tender (SSDT) based on the KFELS SSDTTM 3600E design. Scheduled for delivery in 2Q2013, this is the eighth drilling tender that Keppel will be building for Seadrill since the launch of the design in 1994. The DSSTM 38 ultra deepwater semisubmersible rig was delivered a record four months ahead of schedule. Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS) has delivered Alpha Star, the second of two DSSTM 38 semisubmersible rigs, to Brazil's Queiroz Galvão Óleo e Gás (QGOG) four months ahead of schedule and with zero lost time incidents. Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS) has delivered the semisubmersible accommodation rig, Floatel Superior, 43 days early, safely and within budget to Floatel International (Floatel). The vessel is now ready to commence operations. Floatel Superior will depart Singapore shortly for Bayu Undan in the Timor Sea where she will commence her maiden charter contract for ConocoPhillips Australia following 14 days of transit on her own propulsion. Keppel FELS Limited is on track to deliver Gold Star, the first of two DSS 38 deepwater rigs to Brazilian operator, Queiroz Galvão Óleo e Gás (QGOG) later this year. Progressing on time and within budget, Gold Star will be the first DSS 38 rig to enter the market and support Petrobras's exploration and production activities. Gold Star was named today by Lady Sponsor, Mrs Fiona Steane, spouse of Mr Christopher Steane, Global Head for Structured Finance of the rig’s financiers, ING Bank.

Keppel FELS Limited has completed Transocean’s Development Driller III, an ultra-deepwater drilling rig built to Keppel’s proprietary DSS 51 semisubmersible (semi) design. The Development Driller III is designed to construct wells as deep as 37,500 ft wells and operate in water depths of up to 7,500 ft, upgradable to 40,000 ft and 10,000 ft, respectively. Designed by Keppel’s Deepwater Technology Group in collaboration with Marine Structures Consultants of the Netherlands, DSS units have a total payload of 13,500 tons.

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS) has secured a $160m contract to build a repeat semisubmersible drilling tender (SSDT) for Seadrill Asia Limited (Seadrill Asia).   Scheduled for delivery in first quarter of 2011, the drilling tender will be built to the KFELS SSDT 3600E model. The KFELS SSDT series is designed by Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited’s (Keppel O&M) R&D arm, the Deepwater Technology Group.  When completed, the latest unit will join Seadrill Asia’s fleet of six other KFELS SSDT rigs, built by the Keppel O&M group. Keppel FELS is presently constructing the sixth drilling tender of this fleet, West Berani II, for delivery at end 2009.

Keppel FELS Limited has entered into a cooperation agreement with Smedvig Asia Limited (Smedvig Asia) to build a Semisubmersible Drilling Tender (SSDT) with Keppel Offshore & Marine’s proprietary design. Developed by the Deepwater Technology Group (DTG), the KFELS SSDT3600-GOM-C42 will be the fourth vessel in the series of successful SSDTs that have been gainfully deployed in this region. Valued at $94 million, Keppel FELS and Smedvig Asia will own and operate the ultra deepwater semi tender on a 72/28 basis respectively. The newbuild is due for completion in the third quarter of 2005.

Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M) celebrated its fifth year with a strong net orderbook of over $8.9b, including above $4.8b of new contracts secured year-to-date. Keppel FELS Ltd (Keppel FELS) has secured a contract with GlobalSantaFe Corporation (GSF) to build an ultra-deepwater drilling rig for $270 million. Under the contract agreement, GSF will supply the drilling and sub-sea equipment while Keppel FELS provides the design, engineering and construction of the hull as well as the accommodation quarters for 180 men and marine equipment. The rig, to be named the GSF Development Driller III, is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2009. GSF has chosen to build the state-of-the-art semisubmersible (semi) to the proprietary design, DSS-51, jointly designed and developed by Keppel’s Deepwater Technology Group (DTG) and Marine Structure Consultants (MSC).

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), will divest its entire 72 percent interest in the rig, West Berani, to SeaDrill Asia Limited (SeaDrill Asia) for approximately $72m. This divestment follows the completion of the semisubmersible drilling tender (SSDT), which was delivered on time today. In May 2005, Keppel FELS entered into an agreement with SeaDrill Asia, formerly Smedvig Asia, to own and operate the SSDT on a 72/28 basis respectively. SeaDrill Asia had the option to exercise Keppel FELS’ interest in the rig upon completion. This is the fifth deepwater tender drilling rig that Keppel has built for SeaDrill Asia since 1994.
