Wagenborg Installs Shore Power Connection on Kroonborg Vessel

Wagenborg Offshore has installed and commissioned a shore connection system on the Kroonborg walk-to-work (W2W) vessel in collaboration with NAM/Shell UK, and the support of Dutch province of North Holland.The shore power system was developed and engineered by Dutch company Eekels Technology.Additionally, Eekels Technology, in partnership with the Port of Den Helder, is advancing a hydrogen shore power generator project in cooperation with the Port of Harlingen and Groningen Seaports.The hydrogen generator is set to become operational by the end of 2023.

Jifmar Acquire Acta Marine Workboat Business

Jifmar Offshore Services and Acta Marine have concluded an agreement where Jifmar will acquire all workboat activities of Acta Marine, a deal with includes all 26 workboats, the crews (200 employees), the Netherlands based organisation and all existing contracts. Acta Marine's Offshore Wind Construction Support and Walk-to-Work activities are excluded from the transaction.Acta Marine's Workboat activities will continue to operate from its Den Helder office in the Netherlands as a branch office under the Jifmar brand. This branch specializes in shallow water and near coastal marine projects.

Dutch shipbuilder Damen has delivered a virtual copy of the under-construction Combat Support Ship (CSS) Den Helder, to a branch of the Dutch Ministry of Defense, so the crews can get to know the ship even before it's been delivered to the Royal Netherlands Navy."The new Combat Support Ship (CSS) Den Helder has not yet been delivered, but the crew can already get to know the ship thanks to an extensive Virtual Reality package. Havila Scores Extensions for Two PSV Charters

Havila Shipping announced it has secured contract extensions for two of its platform supply vessels (PSV).The Norwegian offshore support vessel owner said on Tuesday it has entered into an agreement with Equinor Energy AS for the PSV Havila Clipper for extension of the existing contract until June 2024. It is also agreed an optional period for 6 months for the period to December 2024.In addition, Havila said it entered into contract with Peterson Den Helder BV for two optional periods each of one year, for the PSV Havila Borg.

Peterson Den Helder Extends Contracts for Havila Shipping's PSV Duo

Norwegian offshore support vessel owner Havila Shipping has secured contract extensions for two platform supply vessels.Havila said Monday that Peterson Den Helder had declared the 12 months optional periods for the PSVs Havila Borg and Havila Herøy.The extended period will end in April 2024.Financial details were not disclosed. The Havila Borg platform supply vessel, currently moored in Aberdeen, UK, was built by Havyard in 2009. It is 78.6 meters long, and has a deck space of 800 m2. The Havila Heroy, currently in Den Helder, the Netherlands, was also delivered by Havyard in 2009. It is 80.4 meters long and has a deck space of 805 m2.

Havila Lines Up Contracts for Two PSVs

Norway-based Havila Shipping ASA said it has entered into contracts with Peterson Den Helder BV for two of its platform supply vessels (PSV), Havila Borg and Havila Herøy.Havila Borg has been chartered for a fixed period of six months, plus one optional period of 12 months.Havila Herøy has been chartered for a fixed period of a drilling campaign estimated to 90 days, plus one optional period for up to 370 days.Havila Borg has already started its latest contract, and Havila Herøy will start on the new contract on October 18 in direct continuation of work for Peterson.

Multraship Supplies Emergency Tugs to Netherlands Coastguard

Dutch towage and salvage provider Multraship said it has won the tender to supply two Emergency Rescue & Towing Vessels (ERTV) to the Netherlands Coastguard for monitoring shipping safety in the southern section of the North Sea.The contract for the deployment of the vessels came into effect on July 1, 2022 and it will be for 4.5 years, with options for extensions. Crew Transfer Firm OceanXpress Taps Peterson for Agency Services

Nexans, Peterson Den Helder Charter Havila Shipping Vessel Duo

Norwegian offshore vessel owner Havila Shipping has won vessel contracts with Nexans Norway and Peterson Den Helder. The company also secured work of one AHTS with an unnamed client.Nexans Norway has chartered Havila Shipping's subsea vessel Havila Phoenix. Havila said Tuesday that the contract was in direct continuation of the existing contract. It is firm until the end of October 2022, with 60 optional days after that.Havila Shipping has also entered into a contract with Peterson Den Helder BV for the PSV vessel Havila Herøy for a fixed period of 70 days plus options.Contracts related to project work are also entered into for the AHTS vessel Havila Venus for a fixed period of total 64 days plus options, Havila Shipping said.

HNLMS De Ruyter Gets New Gearbox Mountings

Since the beginning of May, Royal IHC has been busy replacing the propulsion gearbox mountings on the HNLMS De Ruyter. Damen Shipyards Galati performed the traditional keel-laying ceremony on June 2, 2021, for the Combat Support Ship (CSS) Den Helder for the Royal Netherlands Navy.The yard carried out the steel cutting for this new vessel in December last year, and following the keel-laying, all the building blocks for the actual construction of the ship in Romania are now ready. The next ceremonial milestone is the naming of the vessel, but not before the building of the ship is completed in 2023.

AMS Buys Damen Fast Crew Supplier to Serve French Offshore Wind Market
