Blue Water Ships Fire Pump Vessel

The project team of Blue Water Shipping, a provider of freight transport solutions, in Marseille, France was entrusted with an exciting job for its client Societe De Constructions, De Reparations Navales Et De Mecanique (SOCARENAM).In early january, a fire pump vessel (weighing 128 metric tons/measuring 24.9 x 6.9 x 3.3 metres) was to be shipped from Boulogne-sur-Mer to Toulon Brégaillon to be operated by Marseille Marine Fire Brigade Division.Blue Water’s scope of the project included engineering, chartering of vessel, loading in Boulogne-sur-Mer, sea fastening and discharging in Toulon Brégaillon. “Due to careful planning and a successful teamwork between Blue Water and SOCARENAM, the entire operation went as planned. This was the second shipment that we have arranged for SOCARENAM.

Alaska Seeks Proposals for Ocean Ranger Program

The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, Division of Water, is soliciting detailed proposals for assistance with the implementation of the Ocean Ranger program established under Alaska Statute 46.03.476. The selected contractor will recruit, hire, train, and manage U.S Coast Guard licensed marine engineers or individuals with degrees in marine safety and environmental protection to serve as Ocean Rangers on large commercial passenger vessels (cruise ships). There is a preference for Alaska hire and the contractor must submit and implement an Alaska hire plan that will lead to the hiring of Alaskan Ocean Rangers. Based upon guidance provided by the Department, the contractor will refine the existing “Ocean Ranger Guidebook and Ocean Ranger Daily Report”.
