DOF Contracted for Teekay FPSO Newbuild in North Sea

DOF Subsea Norways’s Skandi Skolten will assist with the installation of Teekay Petrojarl Production AS’s newbuild FPSO on the Knarr field development

DOF Subsea Norway, a specialist subsea solutions provider, has been awarded a contract by Teekay Petrojarl Production AS in Norway for a newbuild FPSO. The scope of work includes mooring pre-installation, tow-out and hook-up work for Teekay Petrojarl Production’s new FPSO, which will be installed on the BG-operated Knarr field in the Norwegian North Sea. DOF Subsea Norway will mobilise its Skandi Skolten vessel for this project, with six further vessels from its global fleet being utilized in support.

Reef Subsea Announce Management Changes

Mark Preece is to step down as CEO of the Reef Subsea Group by mutual agreement. The board has acknowledged and thanked Mr. Preece for his efforts in developing and positioning Reef Subsea as a strong subsea contractor in the oil and gas and offshore wind farm sectors. Duncan MacPherson, the current managing director of Reef Subsea Norway, will assume the interim role of CEO for the Reef Subsea Group. Prior to joining Reef Subsea, Mr. MacPherson was an executive VP of DOF Subsea and general manager in DOF Subsea Norway. Meanwhile, Mel Fitzgerald has been appointed board chairman. Mr. Fitzgerald has been involved in the oil industry since he joined Brown and Root in 1974 as a Project Engineer and has worked in a number of positions and locations.

DOF Subsea Enters Contract with Statoil for Mooring Installation

Norwegian-based subsea service company DOF Subsea Norway AS has secured a contract with Statoil Petroleum AS for Mooring Installation Services utilising DOF Subsea’s support vessel the Skandi Skolten. The scope of work is to change out mooring segments on the Njord B FSU and Norne FPSO installations in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea whilst these are in production.  The offshore operations part of the project will commence in Q3 2013 and will last for approximately 40 days.

DOF Subsea Norway Wins Statoil Contract

DOF Subsea Norway won a contract with Statoil Petroleum AS for the Tordis Flex Jumper Replacement – Marine Operations part of the Tordis Flex Jumper Replacement Project. The contract is for removal of flexible flowline ends, installation of seven new flexible flowlines, installation of two new umbilicals, tie-in, testing, RFO and survey. The work will be carried out at the Tordis Field in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. The offshore operations part of the project will commence late summer 2013 and will last for approximately 2 months utilizing two vessels from DOF Subsea’s modern fleet of construction vessels. The engineering will commence imminently in DOF Subsea’s office in Bergen.
