Senegal Awards LNG, Oil Advisory Job to Doris Engineering

French engineering services provider Doris Engineering has been awarded an advisor contract by the Senegalese ministry of petroleum and energies for the development of oil & gas projects offshore Senegal.This two-year mission consists in reviewing the optimization and the robustness of the field development performed on these projects to be in line with the Ministry expectations. It focuses on two projects: Grand Tortue Ahmeyim, operated by BP, and the SNE project, operated by Woodside.Grand Tortue Ahmeyim is located at the border between Senegal and Mauritania and lies in ultradeep-water. CFD Simulation of a Fully Featured Offshore Platform Model

CFD simulations of offshore oil and gas platforms are used to predict the maximum wind loads acting on the structure of the platform topsides (the upper half of the platform, above sea level and outside the splash zone, including the oil production plant, the accommodation block and any drilling equipment). The wind loads are used as waves and current loads to design the mooring of the structure, and can be significant in specific ocean areas. DORIS Engenharia Ltda. Chooses Intergraph® SmartMarine® Enterprise Solutions for Brazilian FPSO Projects. SmartMarine 3D is being used in front-end engineering design phase, also specified for detail design. DORIS Engenharia Ltda., the Brazilian subsidiary of France's DORIS Engineering and a specialist in the offshore oil and gas industry, has chosen Intergraph® SmartMarine® Enterprise solutions to design the topsides of eight floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) units for global energy leader Petrobras.
